Lets hope they make it to the first team, development it's where we are seriously underperforming.

Were they playing 4-2-3-1? Barmby wanted to roll out that formation to all teams, so that we're bringing players through comfortable with the system.

Well done. Now lets see them come into the first team. We as a City have a shocking record of nurturing talent.

They weren't at the start of the season and they where performing well then. However since Barmby has taken over i haven't seen them, i knwo some of the other youth teams are, but from what i have seen the Reserves haven't being as of yet either.

We need to step up one part of the process taking players from the youth team to the senior team, its where we lack quality, as lets be fair our youth teams tend to do well but most of the players do ntohing.

Great news, hope to see some in the first team in years to come. Any progress on our academy status or are we still operating a centre of excellence?

What precisely is wrong with that question? Genuine question, that was one of the blueprint plans Barmby wanted implementing right across all squads subject to accepting the job. It's not difficult to understand is it, even for you?

Well done lads, but haven't we won it several times in recent years without much to show for it in the seniors. I'm hopeful they will get more opportunities under Barmby.

I don't see what's wrong with that question, Strov needs to stop doing his tosser impression, it's getting a bit boring now. In answer to the question I think it's a weird one; the idea of roling out this system as a blanket thing at all levels makes a bit of sense but if you think about it, there's very little chance Barmby will be manager for as long as it takes for these 10 year olds to be in the first team and whoever the next manager is will be likely to change to another system. For the policy to have any effect he'll need to be in the job around 10 years which is very rare at any level now. If he isn't then we will have a generation of players only capable of playing 4-5-1 who have no idea how a front 2 works.

It was a genuine question and you've fobbed off two fellow posters with your attitude problems

I don't need to re-post the question but it would be nice if someone could post an answer

Strovolos - no need for you to reply as your posts are not needed here

There are no set positions when we have the ball for the front 4. no player is told before the game" your right wing" ect..
the players are encouaged to create space, width and runs wihout having the restrictions of playing in a certain area of the pitch.
When they lose the ball they play the postion they are nearest to and try and remain compact.
I think its a brilliant system for the players and really gets them thinking which is what Barmby is all about.

Well said mate,a lot of people seem to have forgot what Nicks game plan actualy is. Can i also remind people that Barms did'nt have the luxury of signing the player's he needed to execute this system.
