Control, no. But influence, yes. Let's make sure we all get behind the team for 90 mins tomorrow, pausing only to goad the p*mpey fans.
Still think 6 points could be enough with our goal difference. That would leave West Ham needing 13 points from 18 (4 wins and a draw) from their final 6 games. They haven't been in great form so thats a fairly big ask. Obviously I want us to get maximum points from now until the end of the season and win the league but I think this could be enough for automatics.
Now, this is where it slightly annoys me... The Reading v LeedsU result has been reported by BBC Radio 5 at least 4 or 5 times since the game finished, and each time they've said Reading have gone top for the first time this season. Fair enough. However, I get the very small feeling that if it was any other team than Saints, they would also mention that there was a game tomorrow which could reverse the table-top position, simply by adding that Saints play tomorrow. I know it's the Saints fan in me, but it still irks.
Just watched big sam talk before the game and he spoke of taking it one game at a time and use the phrase .....its as simple as that. This worries me somewhat , is he becoming more positive ? Next he will be getting a bus and controlling the controlables !
Talking of Mr Adkins, has anyone noticed he has stopped saying "Draw a blue line under it"? He now says "Draw a line under it" Maybe he's realised that nothing can come from blue...
I thought the same! Soon he'll say it's about the squad not the 11 and that they may be under pressure, but pressure makes diamonds....
