Liverpool are a fantastic side. It's only luck that has stopped them from being top of the Premier League.
Dalglish says it is all bad luck. The worst conversion rate in the premiership. The most number of saves by an opposing GK. the most number of goalposts and xbar hits. It is all down to bad luck and nothing to do with the strikers obviously. That is what people of low IQ like us and on-scousers cannot understand ... The lesson we have to learn is that we have now used up our fair share of luck..
I saw an article the other week where someone had calculated where Liverpool would be if they had won games they should have won. Brilliant
If United had won the games we should have won we would be champions and still in the champions league... Aaah the scousers and their optimism you've got to love them.
My take on the goal scoring problem... I think that a big part of the problem is Carroll. Not all his fault but his cost of £35millions is a huge problem. He thrives on a certain style of play and a decent supply of balls from the wings. Like at Newcastle. But Dalglish does not want to change his style just to suit one player. So does he stick or twist? Any other player wouldnot have been a problem but £35 m one is not easy to leave in the reserves. £35 million should get anyone a world class striker (an Aguero, Rooney, or Van persie) but they got Carroll Only my opinion of course ...
The 93/94 Liverpool team were worse imo. They were still reliant on a creaking Rush and Molby with Nigel Clough up front. But the current crop ain't far behind...
