I would absolutely 100%. I have rated this player massively and think he would be a great addition to us. He has huge experience and always gives everything to the game. He has 51 goals in 202 Liverpool games over 6 seasons. Sell Gyan for a further £10m and buy Bendtner for £4m and Kuyt for £6m. Loan Ji out for a season and we will have Bendtner, Wickham, Kuyt and Campbell as our strike-force and he can also play on the right to cover Larsson. That's a nice mixture of youth and experience for me. Sessegnon, if he stays, would become my midfield play-maker and make us tick in the middle, as I still don't think he is a striker. Thoughts?
Yes from me as well Cest hard working team player who does what he is paid to do. Think he could be away in the summer as KD doesn't really utilize him not sure he would look at us but, the lure of first team football could swing it shy bairns get nowt mate. Finally something we agree on today mate.
It all sounds good to me..However, I will be very pleasantly surprised if we manage to keep hold of Sessegnon for next season.
yes deffo 100% where whould you play him... he played in the dutch league as striker and broke all the records but for some strange reason liverpool played him on the left??
Guess i'll be the first to say no then. Cracking lad he's been, but lacks pace (an area we are woefully short in), doesn't score many (Liverpool converted him because he wasn't scoring goals, not immediately) and just wouldn't have the passion to come here. I can understand why people would say yes, but for me, there's no massive benefit for us.
Not often we disagree that much bonny lad so once is okay with me. I just think players like Kuyt opitomises all that is good about the game. Fantastic work ethic, professional attitude, fair and honest (apart from that free kick lol). Thats the sort of player that can make you a better and more respected team and is someone we have lacked in the last few years. I'd offer him a 3 year deal right now to be honest as is at his peak imo.
I understand all this Cest, and I am certainly not suggesting he is not a quality player, or not good enough for us, he plainly is. It's more a case of me looking and thinking 'would it work for us, how would he fit in'. I can't see a role for him, other than if we either a) lost Sess and moved Seb inside or b) played him up front. I don't see either of these options working for us to be honest. If we signed him, I certainly wouldn't be disappointed as he's a player I rate, as I say, i just wonder what role he'd fill.
i was thinking exactly what MM says he lacks pace so whould you have him on the left wing and have McClean work on his game (becasue its quite normal for a young player ecspeially a winger to fade off for the second season but work on his game and come back third season) or play him up frount but i dont see that mon will have him to fit in up frount due to the fact he is quite small and isnt really quick
Got a feeling Bendtner will go in the summer so we'll need a replacement and Kuyt for me will be a very good replacement. As you say though keeping hold of Sess will be the major decision of the summer, hopefully we can keep hold of him.
Kuyt is 6ft? Also, he isn't Michael Owen quick but he's not fatty arbuckle slow either? Not entirely sure why people think he is a carthorse in the pace stakes? Also, he is exactly the kind of player Mon will like and would work his socks off as the 'main' man here. For those who don't like Bendy because he doesn't run and chase defenders, see Dirk Kuyt. He will do exactly that. Sess will have to decide what he wants to do to be fair and quickly. Mon seems very relaxed about it all though which makes me wonder just how much truth there actually is in the rumours about Paris St Germain representatives being at the club recently? Bids start at £20m for me as PSG have plenty of rich Arab money to spend and we must demand a huge slice of it if they want a player we desperately don't want to lose.
i dont mean that he isnt tall (infact i mixed up my words) he isnt the big man mon llikes and he isnt quick anouther thing mon likes
Kuyt, is a good honest trier and a decent player, really though atm I cannot see past the issue of an out and out goal scorer that has to come first. Second we do need to hang onto Sess and will I hope only sell if we get a big fee cos' money talks. As it happens I probably I do rate Kuyt above Bendtner, although Niko does have more skill he often is ineffectual, Kuyt always seems to give 110% and overall over a season would be of more benefit to the team.
So you think Heskey was blessed with pace? Kuyt has the one thing Mon does value mate and that's experience. He has always favoured experienced players who can come in and do the job he is bought for. He will develop youth and encourage it from the ranks but he is a manager that puts pieces of a jigsaw together to form a good solid team. I think we will bring in 3 or 4 players this summer but they will all be players that will go straight into the first team, not ones for the future or hot prospects. Just my opinon of ciurse.
A good honest footballer who, I think would do well for us, also thinking King Kenny is losing the plot if he lets him go.
Yep. Have wanted this lad for a few years now, i have a few pool mates who still say hes underrated and under valued by the liverpool staff. Take him in a heart beat.
Not for me, don't think he'd fit here. He's hard working but what does he actually do? We need forwards who get goals.
but heskey is a big man which is what i said?? anyway i also rate him in but im not sure he whould fit in this team
