hmmmmm... last year it was enrique. right now honeslty there are only really two. krul as mentioned and tiote. Best will in the world cayabe is a bit if a thug. (sorry but its true) Ba as knee issues that are worrying to anyone and why you got him for nothing and cisse wthough sciring now needs to go do a bit more consistently to prove he;s not just a half season wonder... it could be cisse is the guy named next year.... finally coloccini is ok but not that amazing. deffo krul, been seeing him since you were in the championship and was suprised hughton benched him when you came up. I rate him as highly as given or hart.
ben arfa has only one leg, the other is a mirage... it doesn't exist. i'd not pick him but he is good... most newcastle players are good and work and contribute to their side fully. nothing wrong with any but if we are talking about IMPROVING radically we need an RVP, a modirc, a bale, a parker, a kompany, an aguero... that ype not the hoilett, dyer, and so forther we are being talked about in terms of. we never got the full thing together under rafa but got to a team with real players.... reina johnson carra hyppia risse alonso mascherano kuyt gerrard X torres we never got the wide supporting players right EVER. rafa made some errors o nthe elft back slot too but if you look at what we've ended up with its a far far cry from there at this point, not even to mention the squad players.... and yet guys would sack the manager and start all over again... patience has its rewards!
I can't speak for everyone but I know I suggested him (as second choice) because he plays in a position we need to strengthen. I didn't pick Ba or Cisse since I am not convinced by either yet, they need to do it over a sustained period of time.
Ba is an accident waiting to happen. When he signed for West Ham everybody knew that he had a very poor injury record. So far he has got away with it ( a la RvP). Cisse has not even had half a season and is very likely to do a Chickpea over at United. Ben Arfa, as has been said above, only has one foot and has yet to show that he can last a season. If I had to take Krul then it would only be as understudy to Reina
agree on cisse and ba... cisse might be good but he looks good taking his chances but in general play he looks poor. ba is a better player all round but we're all waiting for this knee thing.
On current form Ba and Cisse would fit straight into our team, but for reasons mentioned above I would rather take Ben Arfa or Tiote. Krul is fantastic and is playing better than Reina at the moment. But it would be a waste to drop either of them to the bench.
Ben Arfa, but I'd play him on the left. I don't think Antonio Valencia has ever touched the ball with his left foot in his life, and look how good he can be on the right.
I don't get the one footed argument, the best player on the planet only has one foot and does just fine with it. Of the Liverpool players I would have, that's easy... Enrique
He dribbles with both, though. Some players (Valencia, Di Maria) can't even do that. Even Pepe Reina can clear the ball with both feet.
