According to Adam it is the set up we have here and the way Nicky is trying to get the team to play that is tempting players to want to join us. I do like the idea of players who actually want to play here and are not just coming for the money so next season could be quite interesting. It was quite strange cos Nick came on the radio claiming he didn't know what was happening regards money then Adam came on later and was quite emphatic about the situation. I think if Nick had have come out and said there is no money I would have been really down but somehow Adam being the PR person he is made it sound OK.
The interiews should be aired again before our game tomorrow.

This - massively. And it's not hindsight at all, every manager rotates his squad, nevermind when we're playing 1 fifth of the season in just one month.

Hardly relevant - the tiredness excuse was aimed at the 4-game losing streak (or maybe just the most recent 2) not the entire month.

Of course its relevant. If your saying playing games makes you tired then not playing them must make you fresher!! We didnt win a game beginning of March, Blackpool draw, Leeds draw, Ipswich draw nowt to do with tiredness.

I know where you're coming from and appreciate the point, I'm merely saying that I think he was only meaning to highlight our most recent games, and that he wasn't trying to make excuses for the full month.

Thats what i meant too, as bum chinned says. Its not rocket science lot of games ideal for Oli and Garcia, all Nick talked about was Cullen will definitely be starting i seem to remember, fuk knows why.

He's said a lot of things to be fair.. Simpson will get a fresh start and will play.. Oli is quality and could be vital.. Cullen.. Kilbane..

Well, the last one isn't really relevant due to injury, bit of a relief if I'm honest <laugh>

If we were scoring goals, people would stop blaming it on everything else. Fatigue and the pitch wouldn't even be mentioned, it all stems from the fact that we aren't scoring enough goals. We all saw how ****e Oli was against Blackpool and still people want him in. Why do they deserve a chance? They're obviously not doing it in training

Mckenna has been consistently dog sh1t for weeks yet everyone thinks he should play. I dont. As someone else said Evans needs to step into Mckenna's role and improve on it by being offensive as well as a defensive CM. There is no dirve from our centre, none at all.

Mckenna's form has dropped a little but he definitely isn't **** & he's far superior to Oli.

Managers can only rotate their squad if the replacements are good enough and ours aren't. Olofinjana had his chance but ****ed up, Cairney is inconsistent, Cullen hasn't hacked it as yet and obviously Garcia and Simpson haven't done anything worthy in training. If we had a had a goalscorer we would have taken our chances and won most of the games this month apart from Portsmouth.

But that's exactly my point! Of course if we were winning and scoring goals fatigue wouldn't be mentioned, because it clearly wouldn't be a factor! But when we're doing **** as a CAUSE of fatigue.. well.. it should be obvious.

I really don't understand these 'You wouldn't say that if we were winning' statements/arguments. Like Barmby on his formation.. it just doesn't make any sort of sense.. of course we don't complain when we do well <doh> and yet if we do, people will say "we just won but you're still complaining? No pleasing some people!"

    You can't win.

Yes, Cairney is inconsistent, yes, Garcia and Simpson haven't been good in training, yes, Oli was **** in ONE(!) game. But does that mean they should be dropped without the slightest sniff of the first team (Cairney doesn't apply here I know) behind players who barely have both eyes open at kick off?

Oh, and as for the goalscorer, with our generally lethargic play, where exactly would these amazing chances to score have come from? They would have been feeding on less than scraps, same as Fryatt.

Hull got played around when they was against Coventry, all they did was get the ball in defense, pass it around about 4-5 times & boot it forward. In my opinion alot of them did look tired in that game. It wouldn't harm Nick Barmby to rotate a little...Or drop McKenna for Cairney as you need creativity in the midfield (Not players with no end product like Cameron Stewart & Robbie Brady.

March was always always going to be our achillees heel - first we lost Koren at HT agst Soton and then Chester and now Hobbs.

7 games in March was bad enough then to add two rearranged games to that schedule (both away both long trips) coupled with 6 now in April - 15 games, a third of the season in the final two months of a long hard season.

Our squad beyond the first 15 players was never gonna be good enough to grab us a top six place spot should we suffer injuries and we did. Simple.

Oli can't be doing it in training either, he hasn't played well since his Wolves days, the quicker he moves on the better

In regard to a goalscorer, yes, because we are still getting chances but we are not converting them. That's why we aren't in or going to be in the play offs until we sort this out. Sam Vokes would be an excellent addition & on a free.

The problem is, if it was up to Barmby we wouldn't even use 15 players throughout a season <doh>

Don't get me wrong, I'll be happy to see the back of him considering his wages, but I think he's better than many give him credit for.
I wouldn't say we have made that many great chances recently though, Brady missed that one when it was easier to score against Southampton, but we're rarely one on one with the keeper.

Well, actually, Fryatt is but he just stops for a bit and waits for the defenders to catch him <cry>

I would argue that we don't even have 15 players good enough and hopefully that will be something he rectifies in the summer.
