Sorry maestro, we will have to disagree, 6mins 19 bloody seconds ? I gave up half-way through. Somehow I can't see FIFA (God bless 'em), sanctioning this prior to an England International. The tune is still pants which ever way you dress it up, "LAND OF HOPE AND GLORY" all the way ! <ok>

Definitely not anti management Norfolkboy. I'm anti bad and deliberately mismanagement. Somebody has to manage, there has to be an order to life. In fact I am the manager of my department. But to me the people are everything and I have made it clear to my directors of my work ethic. And they have no problem with this.
I have negotiated with Murdoch and he was in those days a fairly understanding businessman who had to make choices but if you proved different he would listen. He had a strategy for his empire but the means didn't have to justify the ends.
Now look at him. A despicable manipulator fighting battles to control his companies. And as an illustration, look what he did to Millie Dowlers parents. Admittedly he his an exception. But to brand unions as only after one thing is to brand all employers as Murdochs.
The dispute with the tanker drivers is about the splintering of an industry that is being manipulated for profit alone. Of course there are political manouvres by officiials. As there has been by the government in deliberately causing last weeks panic for political ends. But a union is not the officials but the members. If the members are sure their cause is right then they will feel justified in taking appropriate action. And legislation means if you are Union member its out of choice.

The A11. I know it's finally being done but how many hours of my life have been wasted stuck behind agricultural vehicles/ tractors especially round sodding Elveden. I particularly hate the traffic lights to centre parcs and the resulting traffic jams.

The A47/A17 AKA the road to nowhere. Especially Sutton Bridge which has been twinned with the devil's arsehole.

Apart from that Norfolk's lovely and I miss living there very much.

I ****ING HATE Norfolk County Council for putting this poxy ****ing incinerator in King's Lynn. I live almost litterally within a stones throw from the proposed site, yet my vote in the local referendum counts for NOTHING.

If the local population want it, or were indifferent to the issue it would be a different matter. I'm against incineration on the whole, but it's our voices being ignored which really gets to me.

As a scholar of the Political Sciences, I feel it is an absolute affront to democracy that this can be allowed.

Don't take this the wrong way cos I might be missing something here PC, but surely it's better to burn rubbish and get rid completely, rather than bury it where it may take decades to decompose ? What is your gripe ? Is it just that it might be a bit smelly now and then ?

Honestly, although I think incineration is a poor idea, I acknowledge it's worth. What really aggrieves me is the fact NCC chose to ignore the voice of 40% of Norfolks population (Kings Lynn and Norwich councils).

I don't like Incineration, but surely if it were sited on the coast as opposed to down wind of Norfolks second largest population centre, it would make more sense.

The original site was Cottesey, by the way.

I think quite a few people would be happy to see Kings Lynn put into the incinerator - and then move it to Thetford (tongue firmly in cheek). Seriously the site was never going to be on the coast given the value of tourism to the Norfolk economy. Probably could have found a better place for it - maybe down the A140 about 60 miles or so?

Reality TV. Enough already. Seriously how can people still be watching a bunch of no-talent chancers desperately vying for their 15 minutes of fame? I don't know anyone who admits to watching them yet they still draw huge audiences. There must be more to life than watching Britain Hasn't Got Talent or Fat Families - stop singing and stop eating. Sorted!

Move to Australia, Perth more specificlly and work in the mining industry..... I just got a 5% salary increase.... not sure why and it wasn't even the official performance/ salary review time. Perth is in its own prosperity bubble at the moment.... its crazy it really is.

...oh and I keep getting comments about my Norwich shirt!

My first rant (this is dangerous i could rant about loads of things) will be on hate crimes. When did the news start calling things hate crimes? What makes things hate crimes? If a white man kills a white man its murder, but if a white man kills a black man its a hate crime! I am sure there must have been some hate with both murders! If two blokes get into an argument before a fight if they are all white or all black its an assult or whatever. If however it is some white some black its a hate crime. Political correct rubbish trying to make it look like their not racist. Martin Luther King didn't say white men and black men live together in brotherhood .... if you sign this form to show what race you are or have positive discrimination or some other crap! I don't care what colour skin you are if you're a dick i'm going to call you a dick. If we get on I don't care what your skin colour is, but no the news has take it on them to class crimes as assult, rape, murder, mass murder and hate crimes in that order of severity. Give me a break!

If we didn't have so much waste, we wouldn't need incinerators. Why do tea bags have three layers of packaging and then the tea itself is in a pakage. Tell bloody Tesco's et al that they could reduce waste by three quarters if they didn't package everything. And if they didn't put best before, use by dates atc. Mum used to throw it out when it got runny. We used to scrape mould off. Stale bread was toasted and the peel of fruit and veg went to the chickens or the dog. Thats why you don't see white dog **** anymore. Dogs eat prime beef. Don't put adverts about starving kids on my telly when my neighbour feeds his dog bloody steak.

....I see your bate and take it gladly....

The reason is because you don't want them spreading their seed and growing up to become lots of little cucumbers

    <ok>

I have a mate who is a London Tube driver and he earns £45K per year, 6 weeks holiday and has a ****ing villa in the south of france! <grr> Smug ****! He has been balloted on strike action more times than I've had hot dinners and every time they threaten a strike the management **** themselves and cave in. Welcome to modern day democracy where some of us are more equal than others! <ok>

He might earn £45k a year, but what is his basic rate, and how much O/T does he do? Also, most London workers in any job earn more than their counterparts in other parts of the country. And being a Tube Driver, he has responsibility for thousands of lives a day. Can't see the problem.
With regard to strike action, it is not always for pay rises, it is quite often over health and safety issues or work conditions.
