I like my server to be miserable, its part of the experience. Beans?? No wonder, what are you thinking.
Carl, its his name, actually turned round and made conversation once about the new buildings opposite. Awkward doesnt begin to describe it. The meal tasted sh1te after that.
Happily that was a good 7 years ago and barely a murmur has passed between us since.

There's a fat bloke from Burnley who owns Gilberdyke Fisheries and serves patties the size and shape of a brick which seem to be fried mash with no herbs, they're inedible(foreigners shouldn't try and cook patties).

Just look at him smiling in those pictures, who the fuk does he think he is. Even when City have a midweek game do you see Dundee St open to catch all that trade?? No. He wont pander to the masses. He opens when he wants, its a trip back to a bygone age.

I asked three locals in London where this yank should get fish and chips and all three of them said Rock and Sole Place. I took the wife. I thought it was really good. Then we went to Hull and I dropped into Carvers before the game. We ate them on the grass over by the BBC and my gracious was it good. Leaps and bounds better than the place in London.

You can't get decent fish and chips anywhere in London, the Rock & Sole Plaice is famous for tourists as it's the oldest one in London, but it doesn't come close to even an average chippy in Hull(and they don't come any more average than Uncle Bob's).

Beans go with battered sausage and chips. If you think they don't you're a ****ing Philistine.

Your mate 'Carl' also takes the piss with the quality and amount of 'butter' he puts on his bread cakes.

Come On Chaz, you know it's true .

I organised a Pattie and Chips meal in a New Forest pub, when City where in the PL The landlord had no idea how to make the patties. They made them too wet and they exploded in the fryer. Funny as ****! With all the taste but weird shapes.
