Do we need another striker ?

With the possible departures of Dimitar Berbatov and Michael Owen, i feel we need to get an experienced striker because we will be inexperienced in that department because leaving Wayne Rooney out of it, Danny Welbeck is 21 years old, Federico Macheda is 20 years old, Javier Hernandez is 23 years old, i feel we must get an older head in there to help the youngsters in the team.

I think we were linked with him about 10 years ago, i doubt he'll leave Tottenham to join us though.

 

I personally think a striker is more important than a CM

We have been playing well but not burying the chances created.
This has been SAFs gripe all season too

We need a quality striker, even 2 and we would be unstoppable IMO

 

i don't know which experience striker we could get, i'm struggling.

If we are signing a fourth choice striker it will be someone off radar or a promotion from within, Will Keane has great potential as does Josh King and there is always the remote possibility that Macheda will come good.

Possible Additions, Van Wolfswinkel, we`ve been linked and have a good relationship with Sporting.

Raul, free in the summer, typical SAF signing, and Fergie absolutely loves him.

Huntelaar, knows where the net is thats for sure, with around 40 goals this season, Im not a fan as he is very limited technically and is slow but he is a clinical and quite spectacular finisher.

 

experience is a funny thing for me and can be over rated. Look at the likes of Ba and papiss cisse.
For us see the Yorke and Cole partnership

I think when fans think of strikers they want a villa etc, but its about fitting into a team

Our play is wing based for us a torres would be magnificent IMO, yet his current form would get me ridiculed for this suggestion

I think Michael Owen fit would be better for us than Chicha in the current set up TBH

In an ideal world I would like a Benzema/Huntelaar. But could see a Ba being the best fit

 

how could i forget Raul, and also David De Gea is here as well he could help him settle in.

What we have to find is a striker who fits our style of play

I personally (to much stick) think rooney spends too much time outside the box, chicha isnt effective enough and is impact sub at best, Wellback has phenomenal work rate if you watch him live but isnt th efinished article in the sense of 25 a season. I dont think macheda will make it and owen is always injured and doesnt look bothered if not playing

In the game against blackburn, Valencia put in 15 crosses with no result. I also think this is why the likes of Nani and Young are frustrating and hold on to the ball too much

 

How old is Raul i'm sure the manager will try to sign him in the summer.
