It will be interesting. Suarez will be the most interesting as he for is def a will he stay or go, due to the offers probably being put out, his trouble he caused with Liverpool and again, would that money be helpful in funding other parts of the team? The owners I am sure will have a good chat with all concerned about the next steps and their ideas.
Agree with that, I know martinez is being bandied about but there are others around, Banega, Defour, strootman who could fit in nicely. I can see us going for De Jong and Ramirez first in the summer btw. Those two rumors are still pretty strong with the ramirez one being almost tied up it seems.
Outs This Summer: Kuyt, (5m) Aurelio, (Free) Maxi, (3M) Aquilani, (6M) J.Cole (4-5M) Darby (1M) Johnson (15M) - If Real Madrid D.Amoo (500K) D.Pacheco (1M) D.Wilson (2M) Total: Circa 30-35M The Majority of these players are not nivolved with the first team and will be off. The others wth the exception of Kuyt and maxi we can already replace. I expect to see Suso, Flannagan, Robinson, Sterling and Wisdom getting more first team action (and debuts) next season. if the board chucks us 30M that leaves us with about 60-65M to buy: 1 Striker 1 Right Sided Midfielder 1 Creative Midfielder Next Season: GK: Reina, Jones RB: Kelly, Flannagan CB: Skrtel, Agger, Coates, Wisdom LB: Enrique, Robinson CDM: Lucas, Spearing CM: Henderson, Gerrard, Adam, Suso LM: Downing, Sterling RM: ?. Downing, Suso St: Carroll, Suarez, Bellamy, ? That'll do me for now....Saying that, i magine we will play more like 433 next season: ................................Reina..................................... kelly.....Agger..........Skrtel..............Enrique ........Gerrard..........Lucas...........Adam............ ...............Suarez...................Sterling........ .........................Carroll/?........................... i just have a feeling that if we play Sterling on the left and Suarez on the right, defences will crumble infront of us......dues to the weight of excrement in the shorts
I'd rather see Henderson ahead of Adam but if we were to buy a creative midfielder surely they would be in the side? Not sure Sterling would be in the first elevene ither if we got a right winger.
I am interested to see if the likes of Sterling, Suso, Coady, Morgan, Wisdom will get some more looks into the first team. Would be nice to see some of them before the end of the season but I doubt it seeing as we need to try and climb up the table a bit.
Think Sterling will get another look in. With Adam injured and Important cup games I can also see Suso getting a sub appearance at some point if we make the final. Dont think Wisdom will get game time this season, but will next season, once carragher has been offerred a coaching role over the summer....(This time he really has to accept it.) Flanno will be involved where necessary. Dont Robinson will as the Anfield Crowd will want to say goodbye to Aurelio who has been a fantastic servant for us.
http://msn.foxsports.com/foxsoccer/...sidering-liverpool-future-admits-agent-040512 Last time a player of ours went to Roma we got an injured one back who went out on loan 2x! RB, ya, I know that will probably happen but think next year we should see the names I mentioned having a look. Would like to see more of Suso and Coady but understand if patience is needed.
I hope we can bleed Coates in with some more game time...you don't get player of a big tounament as a defender for being mediocre, and at such a young age. Will be very useful with Agger's injuries, at the moment Kenny seems reluctant to play him and opts for Carra's experience. I don't think we need a mass spending spree this summer, a striker obviously and any replacements for departures.
I think that is more to do with leadership. Johnson, Kelly, Flanno, Skrtel, Coates, Enrique and Robbo don't seem like leaders to me, Carragher and Agger are the ones that push the defense up the pitch.
Important that Wisdom comes in over the next couple of years... Goes forward like Agger, but has the leadership qualities of Carragher. He is from our youth an knows what is required...
Bojan, Pjanic, Kjaer, Steklenberg ( if reina went) , gago ( on loan from Madrid though I believe), De Rossi ( won't happen) , Simplicio for a cheap option ( CM)
Last season Dalgliesh was forced to play the youngsters. Each one of them have had lengthy injury lay-offs this season and that probably demonstrates his reluctance to turn to them now - hence his comment after the Wigan game.
To use the modern idiom - MY BAD You know I did that last night too! The senility must be setting in more rapidly then I thought
IMO Charlie Adam doesnt get NEAR the 1st 11, Id have Dirk in ths side with Stevie in the middle. IMO Charlie isnt even good enough for the squad, Shelveys better than him now at 20, Id sell him in the summer
Not as bad as Saint. He will probably come on here now and tell you that he doesn't forget things...he just forgets that he forgets things.
Used to want Kjaer but always had reservations of having a Danish centre back pairing simply because they are not exactly a power weight in international football are they? Would love Bojan and/or Pjanic. As good as Steklenberg is, I'd be very disappointed if we got him purely because it means Pepe will have gone. Gago and De Rossi I am not so keen on and I do not know who Simpicio is
Then I think you would be very very wrong. Adam was bought for his passing and deadball abilities. However, due to Gerrard's absence he was expected to play a very different game whilst settling into a new style of play. Now nobody in the world can live with what Gerrard does when he is on form and Adam couldn't! End result a total loss of confidence and one of the worst cases of 2nd season syndrome. However, I think he'll do a Highway - first year brilliant, 2nd year rubbish, 3rd year the creation of a legend.
