As I see it, there are 5 clubs in danger of being in the bottom 3 alongside Wolves at the end of the season.
Those 5, of course, are Villa and those below them currently.
I see the possibility of Wigan collecting just 6 points from their remaining matches, possibly from Fulham, Blackburn and Wolves. (Points from their other matches will be a bonus!).
I reckon that 34 points will be a couple of points short of being enough to remain in the Premiership.
    What do you think?
My analysis may be way out, of course, since I'm as poor a match predictor as Mark Lawrenson. (Just 6 weeks ago I predicted Wolves would stay up!!) <doh>

As iv`e not see`n you on here before and don`t know who you follow (but i think QPR are in there some were) and don`t know if you`l stick around and go walkabout like so many others let's cut to the chase it doesn't matter what your analysis is or or Lawro Lawrenson is the LATICS will still be in the premiership come the end of the season it may go down to the last minute of the last game but if you are a follower of the latics would you have it any other way but as far as the other 5 clubs go you`l have to ask them what they think.

I think it's a nailed on certainty that Wolves are relegated already due to their goal difference ( -35 or something) so 2 places remain with Bolton, Blackburn, Wigan and QPR in the frame. I think Villa will be safe and not get dragged into it.

It's obviously going to be very tight and if it goes down to the final game of the season with the 2 places remaining I'll bet on Wigan to be safe as I think we'll beat Wolves as we'll have a big crowd behind us at home whereas the others have difficult games for example

    Blackburn away to Chelsea
    QPR away to Man City
    Bolton away to Stoke

I don't think Wigan will go down, you looked good against us (Liverpool), don't have the worst run in either. Hope to play you next season!

Although your manager deserves to lead his team to safety and luck has not been on his side, the odds are not in Wigan's favour. Points against one or two of the leading teams, as well as the three I mentioned, will be needed.
I do hope you survive and my very early prediction is wrong (again)!

I hope you stay up, I was highly impressed with the way you played against us (Norwich). I think a lot of people thought you would roll over and get thrashed, but you showed a lot of skill and commitment and I came away from that game thinking we were lucky to get a home point.
Good luck, I would rather see Wigan in the Prem next season than any of the others mentioned.

There always has to be one complete knob on every thread, so well done Noel you get this weeks award.
By the way, are you the real Noel Edmonds? The twat off the telly? If you are you also get another mention; you are second on my all time list of people to punch in the mouth should I ever meet you! Only second! Of course, Cliff Richard gets the permanent top spot.

Atrocious refereeing cost you a well deserved win against Chelski, that didn't help your cause at all, but I still think and hope you can stay up.
    Keep the faith.

You're supposed to be a PL side you goon. We used to get 16k in league 2, you got 4k. In the PL we sold out every week, I don't even believe that stat it seems too high for Wigshit.

I never stop getting amazed at just how retarded some people are, or maybe it's just that the internet gives 11 year olds such a large platform to prove to the world just how far from adulthood they really are.
NoelEdmonds now has 49 posts and it seems that half of those are aimed at Wigan and each one of those is quite frankly, a little disturbing, it's obviously possible that behind all that bravado there's just a scared, much abused child screaming for help, sadly, it's equally as possible that there's a future psycho paedo, just waiting to pounce.

As for us escaping relegation, I expect us to do so, but it will be close and the last 2 matches against Blackburn and Wolves will be like back-to-back cup finals, no pressure there then :emoticon-0141-whew:

    What a great result! Wigan 1 - Untd 0 <somersault>

Out of the relegation zone and with high hopes of gaining 6 more points from the Blackburn and Wolves matches!

    Even praise from Untd's boss!!
The Red Devils manager believes Wigan are a "very underrated team" who are "playing some of the best football in the league" after restricting his league leaders to just one shot on target during the game.
