So the Mirror say, probably bollocks but anyway :

Eddie Howe has put Newcastle and Southampton on alert by conceding 21-goal striker Jay Rodriguez could be sold in the summer.

Both clubs have made bids for Rodriguez, 22, in the recent past and still fancy a move for the prolific star.

And while Burnley snubbed their earlier offers, boss Howe admits it may be hard to keep the hitman.

He said: "If we can keep hold of him we’d love to but I would think any Premier League team who has seen him and done their homework will see what a season he's had.

"They will look at his age and his goalscoring record and all the other attributes that he’s got.

"I’m sure there’ll be clubs looking at him and I’m sure there have been clubs looking at him this season. We’ll wait and see on that one."

Now, I dont know much about him but he looks alright.

I suppose, but relying on statistics of goal scoring exploits in the Championship is always a gamble. There was one champonship season a couple of years back where you would have thought Ebanks-Blake was the best striker in the land and zeTom was having fits over him, didnt amount to much in the PL though when he got his chance

Wouldn't be the first time a hot shot in the Championship had fizzled out in the Prem.

Or he might be like Oxlade-Chamberlain .. but I doubt it.

Not fussed over this striker tbh.
