Cmon Drogs, get your act together and sort out a thread! I'll give it a go Possible Chelsea Team Cech, Ivanovic, Terry, Cahill, Cole, Mikel, Ramires, Lampard, Sturridge, Torres, Kalou Possible Benfica Team Moraes, Pereira, Luisao, Jardel, Emerson, Witsel, Garcia, Gaitan, Nolito, Aimar, Cardozo Chelsea Chelsea could have Didier Drogba, David Luiz and Raul Meireles available for the second leg of the Champions League quarter-final against Benfica after the trio trained ahead of the game. Benfica Jesus does not think the Blues deserve to be leading after the first leg and has no intention of changing his game plan for the return game in London. He said: "Chelsea obviously have the upper hand, but we are going to approach this game in the same manner as we would have if we had won the first game. "Chelsea had quite a lot of luck in the first match, considering we dominated the match. "We have the quality to win this game, obviously, and I'm sure that - this time round - we can turn the tables on Chelsea and do the same as they did in Lisbon." Jesus added: "They came out to play for a 0-0 draw and ended up getting a win. "They'll be dangerous from set-pieces but we need to play an offensive game and cancel out that first-leg advantage." Jesus could be forced to play holding midfielder Javi Garcia as a makeshift centre-half, with captain Luisao a major doubt with a knee injury. Miguel Vitor (thigh), Ezequiel Garay (knee) and Jardel (thigh) have not travelled with the squad due to injury.
, I'm at work and have to use my phone, haven't got time at the minute but if nobody has done one by the time I'm home I'll do one later
CYOB!! I can see us taking this game in the second half fairly comfortably. Then I'll be heading to the Nou Camp for the away leg once we get through tonight! (touch wood)
****, I've got a horrible feeling again about this one. Every man & his dog is saying we're already through. I hope the team don't look at it this way! Cakking myself!!!!!!
Post removed Tom, you're more than welcome to comment on this Chelsea board but please don't spam us with your blog.
Think that's a fan's perspective there tel, Di Matteo seemed adamant that the boys will be goin into this the same way they went into the Napoli game at the bridge! Really looking forward to this one though
Doesn't this kick off in 20mins? Thought there would be more interest than this. Surely this is the biggest game of your season so far? For God's sake the team is up, but no comment on it?
Pool fan in peace. All the best for the game lads, will be cheering your lot on!!! Going to be a good game.
Got ya Drogs, I know we seem to have turned the corner but the nightmare of the first 6/7 months of the season keeps coming back to haunt me!
Harry, we know it's up but we more or less knew the team that's why there's little comment. Most of the boys are at the game but some of us have to work. That's what comes after 10 successive years in the competition
I know he scored the winner last week but I hope we don't regret sticking Kalou on the field again Luiz is fit after all!
Evening all! Managing to watch from my mum and dads place in France after much cafuffling! Hoping for a good solid game that doesnt show any gaps to the spuds/barca.
