No, not the amount. There appears to be comment in the press and also from other quarters that they maybe no monies available in the summer. If thats the case pass holders arent going to be too impressed are they.
So you expect the Club to make an official comment every time the Hull Daily Fail report that there is doom and disaster at HCFC, do you? This is the same "quality" local journal that spelled Chris Chilton, "Chiltern". Or when Dave Burns BA Hons states one of his "I'm hearing......." quotes. The kind he stated live on air just before KO in the L**DS away game last season that "I'm hearing that the Allam deal has fallen through". Are these the kind of "comments in the press" that you believe and want the Club to lend credence to by making a public statement?
Look mate, Im not wanting to get into an argument with you on here. I have made my points and you have made yours. I think you are splitting hairs. I am fully aware of certain reporters on both the radio and the press who look to do City down at any oportunity and so are you quite obviously. There are one or two on both sides of the press who are all for City. Even they are asking the same questions. The simple fact is that any news is drying up quickly. You go on any of the City websites and they are all saying the same thing. I dont want to sit on my arse and know nothing. I am a customer and as a season pass holder I believe we should be told basic things. If the club cant afford this or that just tell us. We can then all make our own minds up. I dont want them to go into specifics ie whose on the list of wanted players, or how much the transfer pot will be. No thats not what I want. I just want to knoiw that there is a plan for next season and if that is just bosmans or frees then so be it. Its not bloody rocket science is it?
Allam on BBC the other night said if Premier League didn't happen next season then they would try again. Is that reassurance?? I suppose at least when Nige went and people were worried about players going with him the club did come out and say directly that no players would be sold which did lift everyone's mood. At that time there was a really good feeling around the club and the majority of fans felt confident about the future. I suppose what we need now is just a little something to lift our spirits again.
a point of detail Tickler, if "we have a 360deg change with the new regime", that puts us back where we were doesnt it? i think you meant 180 degrees but nobody noticed so i wont say owt!
Who says TWF doesn't brighten these boards? Oh, and Tickler, "you need look no further than in the mirror"? Really? Next it'll be "I know you are you said you are so what am I!?"
What was he raving about ? How many goals we are scoring ? On another note, I can't help thinking Barmby got away lightly with the 'argueing with a fan' incident on Saturday.
Too late i am afraid. TWF spotted it straight away and yes ive held my hands up to that gaff. Thanks anyway.
He was raving about how lucky we were to have a local lad in charge and a local lad who'd played at the highest level both for club and country. I realise you don't like AP, but I think you underestimate his worth to the club and the impact it would have if he left.
Outside of Nick and the players, he'll be the best paid member of staff and I think it's clear that they're very keen on belt tightening.
I doubt he's on enormous money and he has other interests, so if they don't want to pay him what he's worth, he'll probably(reluctantly) move on.
