Exactly- a few good players. Remember Watford and how bad they were, they could finish ten points ahead of us come the end of the season.
LOL it's not like no one can't see our points tally since the turn of the year is it? Never even mentioned our fantastic goal scoring record since Nigel left its actually got worse so the nugget who suggested our best form of defence is attack got it spot on not
This sort of thing really annoys me - I know I'm a new poster, been reading for a long time, but what could you possibly be aiming for by saying things like this? I'm certainly not a happy-clapper and very realistic now about the challenge we would have to get into the play offs...but really, I don't understand this kind of attitude. Imagine this scenario: 3pm Saturday, the ref blows his whistle, a chant of 'Come on you 'ull' from the stands, and the players look at the crowd with puzzled expressions, and Rosenior standing on the touchline says 'come on you 'ull? You really think we can get in the play offs now? er...CUCKOO...CLOUD...LAND!' and sits on his arse whilst their winger skips past. No, you would expect a bit of belief, a bit of fight and a bit of pride, regardless of it being a long shot. However unlikely it seems, what's the point of taking the p*ss when someone tries to put a positive spin on things. All it does is create negative feeling around the club, which rubs off on the players, as we've seen, puts pressure on the manager, spreads amongst fans, quietens the supporters (as if the KC isn't quiet enough already) and generally talks Hull City down to whatever level you feel they should be playing at. And for what? I can only think that it's because people are scared to be wrong, scared to look like they believed, when it didn't happen. Yes, by all means feel deflated, and yes, question decisions and suggest alternatives, but getting on the back of people trying to support their club....no thanks. Save that negativity for the opposition.
She tried sitting in my seat once in National, cheeky cow, my seat is my seat Angy baby stop pouting and move!! Brad made a show but once i unzipped the hoody and flashed the tatts in the Lonsdale vest he backed off. True story.
My friend is the manager at the Fox and Coney, I'll get him to hook you up. As for the end of the season, I'd just throw it to the wind and play Lewis Clarkson upfront. He's the only one at the club scoring consistantly. Stick him up front with Fryatt and play a 4-4-2.
More like welcome to MoaningGitsWhoAreRealistsWithTheOccasionalDelusionalCuntsVille. I too love your blind optimism but any sane person who has attended the last few games would know we've run out of steam and ideas, and we can't score a damn goal let alone accumulate enough points to reach the top 6. There's always next year mind you. (Y)
I'd agree with Chazz. There are way too many teams in this like who rely on anti-football to get results. It's a rarity that we see a team come to the KC for a proper game of football these days. In general the football league is a good standard and all of the leagues are pretty close together, but I think the bottom-half Championship teams are just ****e to watch. We have the quality to go away from home and still give teams a game without all the messing about with head injuries two yards from the touchline and such, which is why it's so frustrating that we've wasted it to spend another year with the likes of Watford, Coventry and Derby.
When you've spent months having people on your back calling you to **** for daring to acknowledge weaknesses despite the fact you hoped they wouldn't become an issue, it's only natural that when it all goes to **** people are going to have a go back when others still fail to even acknowledge the failings they're witnessing every game. As far as it putting pressure on the manager/players goes. How does people saying all season we're lacking in these areas so we're probably going to have to wait til next season put pressure on them to perform? Surely people expecting us to get promoted are the ones that are causing the pressure, because they're the ones that will start calling for things when we don't look likely to succeed this year, and the management making statements about being happy with the squad because it's good enough and we don't need to add players, I'm pretty sure that adds more pressure than someone saying we'll have to build slowly and do it next season.
I can vouch for that. In National she hit single 20 double 20 treble 20, my mate shouted out fukin hell she's only gone and hit Shanghai!! Angie got a bit angry, said Brad and her dont believe in smacking their children!!
Why do we belong on that list? We've given the Championship Marvin Sordell, Sean Murray, Michael Kightly and Alex Kačaniklić this season, not to mention some comedy gold from Scott Loach.
I assume you weren't at the game at the KC? Your team were an absolute disgrace with their anti-football that day. When we got the late winner it was the most deserved defeat any team has had inflicted on them that I've ever seen. The fact that our players decided to mimic your previous goal celebrations right in front of your fans in order to take the piss about the nature of your approach to the game is something I've never seen a team do should show how pathetic it was. It was particularly amusing that our CBs copied yours by waiting until the celebrations were almost over before they started ambling from the half way line to the corner flag to congratulate the goalscorer after each other player had gone over virtually one at a time to do so. I'm not quite sure how your manager kept a straight face in his post match interview either.
Hang on a bit, I've got a lot of respect for the way Watford is run as a club, but you can't claim praise for Michael Kightly and Alex Kačaniklić.
We treat loanees like our own. And even if you don't buy that argument, clubs don't send players like those to clubs that play like Derby. To respond to the previous comment, I'd forgotten when we played you and can therefore see why you bundled us in that group. In late September and October we were playing dire stuff, no question. Words can't describe how much we've transformed over the last six months.
I am normally optomistic but I don't think we will win another game this season. We might sneak a couple of draws. I would even say I can't see us scoring anymore than 2 or 3 goals.
Good post Stripes. I know i am in the minority of positive posters. MoaningWhingingGitsVille is quite appropriate for some on here. If folks dont like whats going on with City then simply dont go. Its that easy really.
