    Without looking at the table.

    Aren't we 11 points off 7th with 21 points to play for. Shouldn't that mean we need 10 points at least? What if Everton win all their games and we lose all ours?

    Unless my maths is bad too...

    If we get 2 wins in the next 2 games and the two scousers lose, then we have guarranteed 6th.

    If we assume that the two scousers win all their remaining games, then we would need 12, or 11 plus goal difference

    That would still leave 15 points to play for ! your presuming that the teams behind will lose the next 2 at the same time we win them????

    blowing 6th is theoretically possible but is not going to happen.

    the race for 5th is very much in our hands, and 4th is unlikely but not impossible

    Why not just focus on Swansea?

    I'm not convinced 'looking up the league' or 'looking down the league' makes any difference. We just need to get as many points from the games we have left and see where we end up.

    ps. lowest posible finish is now 15th :)
