£25m Cest....??? Have you lost the plot.

Next season he'll be 28 years old and have 2 years left at the top of his game, maximum.

I think it's fair to say your midfielder won't be commanding huge fees any time soon. The clubs have to look at merchandising opportunities when paying big money as well, in a big side Sessegnon is just another squad player.

Let's put this in perspective...Valencia was bought for £16m aged 23, Sessegnon couldn't lace Antonio's boots.

    £10m max if you're lucky.

    "£10m max if you're lucky"

Excellent news. Cause if that's the best offer we'll get, Sess will be a Sunderland player for another year.

Yes because this is a joke forum isn't it.

Of course I'm not joking. Looking at prices of Downing, Carroll and Henderson then saying "Sess must be worth X" just doesn't work.

Firstly, all of the above are English so their prices are already over inflated, and secondly the market is distorted when taking into consideration the stupid prices Liverpool and Manchester City have been paying recently.

Look at Gervinho who cost £10m, then look at Fabregas who was sold for £35m.

You seriously think a 28 year old Sessegnon is worth 71%+ of what they received for Fabregas?

Fabregas is what 24/25? and is good enough to play in the first 11 for Barcelona, maybe the greatest football team of all time.

Sessegnon is not worth anywhere near £25m in contrast. What has happened here is you have distorted his value by looking at the silly money that Liverpool and Manchester City are forking out for players.

Here...let's wrap this up... Nasri was sold for £25m after his best ever season, Sessegnon hasn't achieved anything like the level of performances Nasri showed.

Discussion over, you'll be lucky to get £10m for him.

The WHOLE idea is that we ask for too much. We either get a **** load of money or keep our best player.

    Sess is only behind
    David Silva
    Antonio Valencia
    Emmanuel Adebayor
    Juan Mata

in total assists in the premier league. Van Persie is level with him.

Out of those players, only Abebayor and Van Persie have more goals than him.

Correct me if I am wrong: Silva, Mata and Valencia play on the wing. Abebayor and Persie are out and out strikers. Which means that at the current moment in time, Sess is the best creative attacking midfielder in the league (playing in the hole behind the striker).

20 million? I wouldnt accept less than 30m for him - at 28 he is in his prime and will have at least another 2 seasons ahead of him at the top of his game (barring injuries)

He would walk into any team in the premier league at the moment based on current form.

Now which Newcastle fan had a right go at me for suggesting Sess could potentially be worth more than 20m when he first joined us? stupid twat, whoever he was.

    No he wouldn't.

Who exactly would be replace in Newcastle's side? 16 goals Ba? 7 in 7 Cisse? Ben Arfa with his 4 goals and 5 assists in 2 months?

Cracking player, but if he doesn't fit then he doesn't fit. You can't force a player into a side just because he's good.

Vaughan - let's talk about Berbatov - last season's top scorer in the EPL, he's a striker, he scores goals. Despite not fitting into the United way, his average tally for us is still around 1 goal in every 2 games. He was a £30m striker, he just doesn't fit into our system. Suarez has about 1 in 4 for Liverpool, nobody questions his £20m price tag.

Dansafcman - Silva & Mata are both AM's, you stand corrected.

No matter what you think he's worth, it makes no odds - he is no longer considered a developmental player. Only teams such as Liverpool, City, PSG and Anzhi Makhachkala will consider paying silly money for this type of player, especially with the FFP rules coming into force.

Asamoah Gyan - bought for £12m? maybe worth £15m-£20m at Sunderland... Al Ain loaned him for £6m...2 years left on his contract, bit rusty since he's been playing with the lowest calibre of football talent in the world for an entire season, worth now - £7-£8m max. Won't renew a contract. I'd bet my last quid you'd value him at about £15m-£20m though.

    Demba Ba.

He hasnt been scoring since Cisse came into your team, and Sess would set up Cisse more than Ba does.

    Terry,

What a load of horse ****.

28 is no age for a player, he's got at least 4 years of his best left nowadays, and as he has 2 years left on his contract, then £10million can get you my left ****ing nut.

Now, I rate Valencia, but to say Sess is 'not fit to lace his boots' is ****ing bullshit.

You are a gobshite red Manc who believes that everything outside your little ****ing bubble, paid for by sky, is beneath you, and it ****ing isn't.

Sess would be a phenomenal asset to your team as an attacking midfielder, an area where you are woefully short, hence Basle and Bilbao minced you.

Being a United fan does not make you an oracle on football, if you have watched Sess all season, for fll games before drawing your conclusion, then you are stupid.

If you haven't, then you have no basis to argue.

Goals, assists, ball retention, work rate, tracking back, Sess is a phenomenal player, just because he plays for 'little old Sunderland' you draw ridiculous conclusions.

For the ****ing record, PSG are one of the teams after him, Silva is a converted left winger, as is Mata, both have been moved to fill gaps in top 5 sides that a player like Sess would fill magnificently.

You're on this board spouting ****e more than the ****ing Mags, the difference being, they usually know what they are talking about.

He scored more than both Silva and Mata, and has made 2 assists less. So it is valid to stay he is a good as both of them based on team contribution.

As it has been pointed out before, if managers only offer 10 million that great for us cos he wont be sold. We will only sell for more than 20 million, and that is all that matters.

How much is Silva worth? The take 5 million of it cos of age, and you get what Sess is worth. Sess has got 9 assists and 7 goals for Sunderland, in a team like Arsenal/Man U (due to quality of squad) he would get a lot more provided he was used right.

Sessegnon has scored 1 goal in his last 7 games, so he's hardly been scoring either.

Every player has a barren spell from time to time. He's came close to scoring so many times so I'd much rather have his goalscoring abilities in the side.

Seriously... You've lost your rag pal.

I've provided facts, to counter your opinions. That's all I need.

He couldn't lace Antonio Valencia's boots.
