On the odd time i tune into humberside sportstalk because of the amount of rugby related talk and guests. A text from i think east hull tiger asked where is nickys backing from the club . The manager is getting abuse from message boards .the radio the papers yet no sign of adam or the allams supporting him and looks to be on his own.Has he been left out to dry by the club.God i hope not but the silence from the club is deafening .And what did g lloyd and his guests have to say about it nothing and moved back onto the biggest derby in the world rugby.

Allam was interviewed by the BBC earlier this week (or at-least that was when it was aired). He had the perfect opportunity for this.

The silence is deafening and I find it suprising. Normally AP is the mouthpeice because of his experience in dealing with the press, but it appears that he has been silenced. I dont like the vibes coming from the club at all and I hate to say it but it does seem that there is some substance in certain rumours coming out of the club, it seems.

It's not like we are bottom of the league. I dont know why anyone needs to come out and back him right now?

ridiculous, he has had a bad run yes, but once the reality and pain go away that we won't make the play-off's now I am sure most people will back him until the end of the season.

Maybe the club have a better overall perspective of the situation we are in, and dont feel the need to back their manager due to the panic of some intolerant fans.

NB is trying to shape the team into playing a certain way & method and although there have been glimpses of what can be achieved he needs time and patience from the club & fans.

Why only until the end of the season, why not longer. NB is still learning his trade. I dont know how long he should be given but at least give him a chance and support him

NB needs to have until well into the next season.
Last thing he needs now is a public statement of backing by the club. That's the kiss of death for a manager.

Any new manager should be given AT LEAST a season (including pre-season) unless extreme circumstances exist such as immediate threat of relegation.

It's not true that AP is keeping quiet, he might not have done any press interviews recently, but at the Premier Club meeting he was positively raving about Nick.

I dont think I said anything against NB opr Mr Allam. There are a number of things which could have been cleared up with an official statement. One such thing was for example, was there really any funds in the Jan window? NB decided not to use any if there were, but was that the case. I think the club should have said that there was, then there wouldnt have been any of this was there or wasnt there. We are paying customers it it would be nice to know. It would also be nice to know what the plans are for next season. Will we be keeping our best players or is the financial situation such that we may have to sell. Also will there be any funds for bringing in players in the summer.

I woukld have thought that with pass renewals not far from now, many may well be undecided whether to renew or not. A statement from the club about future plans would go a long way to keeping many on side.

I also didnt say anything as to what NBs position will be. He will be here next season and I for one want him to succeed. So please dont read what isnt there, just read what is printed.

Sorry Lammie but the vast majority of us were not privvy to that meeting. You did a fair job of highlighting ceertain things, but one vibe I got from what you said was that APs position at the club seemed to be in some doubt. That has raised the anti as to why no news has been forthcoming.

There was absolutely no need for this. Nick Barmby clearly said in the press at the end of the transfer window that he was happy to go with what he had. Whether you believe this or not is another matter.

The Club will do whatever it feels necessary to meet it's aims. Fans have no right to be privvy to what these measures are, and in most cases publication of such information to "the fans" is actually counter productive. Fans might well feel frustrated that they do not know what is going on behind the scenes, but I'm afraid that's just a fact of life.

Stovolos, I think there was need for it. I think a lot of season ticket holders need to know info like that so that they are kept in the picture. I dont mean which individual players we are after of course not. But I do believe, especially at this time, that they need to have an understanding where the club is heading. There may well be many that wont bother purchasing new seasons for next season if they are not sure that things are likely to be improved.

Agreed. For those who were lucky enough to be there it was like a high fives alround. From Ehab, Adam, Nick and even Wiggs were full of it. I actually agree with the silence to a point. Many fans are still living in the media age of Dufferman and Brown. Now we have a 360deg change with the new regime.

What i am not happy about and it needs an answer is WHY are the official supporters clubs not allowed to award any player trophies at the awards night. The club have stopped all this. Only the Tiger Travel award is going to be presnted it seams. Now this is IMO totally out of order and an answer should be given as to why ?

Adam Pearson will be on sportstalk later in the week. Possible thursday night Matt Dean said live on air last night.

I've been paying for my season pass since Jan 1st and will be supporting the Club come what may..

If you feel so inclined to come on this board to air your views and seemingly care about the Club, renewing your pass should not come into question.

As OLM has said before, should we manage to move on the big earners (Oli, McShane, Ghilas) in the summer, the Allams have suggested that this will free up monies for new players.

There will be loads of good NPC players on a free (Paul Green at Derby to name but one) - we will still lose £9m this year (ending July) and hopefully break even next year - the last year of our parachute payments.

We don't need to go gung ho - we have the nucleus of a very good side that hopefully will only get better.

We do need though to sell as many season passes as possible.

We have 2 years left of parachute payments assuming that we dont go up anytime soon. But they drop from 16m from the last 2 years to £8m for the next 2 years and then they END.!!! Thats why the PL has to be gone for next season. Like you say, many quality players available in the summer though for FREE.

Agree on the season ticket though. You buy if you can afford one NOT just as a glory hunter.
