Well, only a few days until the big one and I am really excited. The atmosphere will be electric as ever, and this time a lot might rest on the outcome. Since the demise of cross-board threads it has been difficult to get much cross board interaction about this game but I just thought I would give everyone an opportunity to risk post match ridicule and ruin whatever reputation they might have enjoyed, by predicting the scoreline. So, who wants to go first? (Players familiar with the attendance game will know that I tend to wait for a few guesses before giving my best answer)
Sweep is busy preparing his tea leaves, tarot cardsand divination rods in order to help predict the score. In the meantime he is busy banging out the press-ups ready for some 'pwopa nawty' fence-rattling on Saturday.
The most important thing is a Southampton Win and 3 points But i wouldn't say No to a Southampton Hat'trick or two.
So, nobody wants to be specific? Well, ok. I will be the first brave soul to say that I predict a 3-1 victory to Saints. (This prediction is valid for the next 48 hours and is subject to change. It is made on the assumption that Lambert is fit and plays. The value of predictions may go up or down. Your club is at risk if you do not not keep up repayments on your VAT bill or any CVA secured upon it. Other predictions may be available.)
We each are capable of putting on a dispaly of great football and equally capable of playing crap. Itcould be: good v good good v crap crap v good crap v crap I wouldn't want to put a penny on the outcome nor would I want to predict the score. I hope we have an entertaining game devoid of trouble. Neither team can afford a blood and guts game as injuries or sendings off could wreck the end of season ambitions for both clubs.
I have just finished making a little doll with a red and white striped shirt and am just off out to buy some needles
Best thing to do devo, would be to put a number 7 on the back of the shirt, and keep sticking the needles in the groin area. Could pay dividends.......... Another idea would be to make a second doll, with number 1 on the back of the shirt, stick needles in his legs and watch the outcome. I fancy seeing Bart in goal for them - he is such a talent
So, 5 comments made, and not a score prediction amongst them! Maybe everyone feels that this one is too close to call?
We're waiting for your prediction first Channon (for a change ) Maybe Singing will predict after you and play a Triple-Dare
If a typical 'Saints at home' team turns up; Saints 2-0 Pompey If the Pompey side that beat Birmingham and Hull turns up against the above Saints team; Saints 1-1 Pompey If the saints side that played Blackpool is up against the afore mentioned Pompey team; Saints 0-1 Pompey If a typical 'Saints at home' team turns up against the Pompey that played Burnley and Coventry; Saints 4-0 Pompey I think that covers all bases
You'll note that Sweep has purchased a brand new woolly hat to wear at SMS on Saturday Right in terms of goalie thingies, 3-1 to the stripey contingent!
This will be goals galore i'm going for 4-3 saints but wouldn't be surprised if it was a high score draw.
im tempted to go one of two ways: we must be on our best form, if we dont turn up like last saturday i can see it getting very ugly (with lambert playing the stains could hit 5 or 6) but if we put in a shift i can see us nicking it by the odd goal. as its a derby ou players have to be up for it: i go 2-1 pompey.
Heart = 1-2 Head = 3-0 As has already been said, it depends which teams turn up. There will be goals though.
