At least under Mclaren the players showed some passion when they failed. Like they actually felt bad.

You must of missed Capellos reign then. It gets much much worse. Claiming we are the best team ever after we beat some bakers from eastern europe.

Had England lost today I wouldn't have been too bothered, but the players I am sure felt guilty after the last world cup, and its the players who I blame. Capello doesn't help I agree, but every single England player plays in the Premier League, the supposed best league in the world(yeah right) so they should beat most countries out there.

 

Only because beside Croatia the rest of the nations barely qualify as footballing nations. We had the easiest group imaginable.

If england want to improve they need to be drastic. We have had over the years some great u21 players for example......Capello had to be told he needs to play them. Whats that about?

Compare this england team and the feeling it gives you to the england teams of the 90s and early 00's. It is nothing alike. The thing that makes england england has gone. I blame foreign managers...Sven ( passionless ) Capello ( **** ).

Harry would be a brilliant england manager, like a Venables or a Robson. English to the core. Sure we probably wont win anything but my god we will put up a fight.
