    Our worst case scenario for Europe is 5th place doesn't guarentee it. If Chelsea win the champions league and finish 6th, behind us in 5th, and Everton win the FA cup semi, league positions 1,2,3 and 6 get champions league places, and our 3 Europa league places go to Liverpool, Everton, and whoever finishes 4th. We could really do with Chelsea being knocked out. :p

    Davey your right. But I honestly do not expect them to win the champions league. I also think that Liverpool will beat Everton.

    I think provided we finish 5th then we should be in Europe.

    Yeah, I'm not expecting Chelsea to win it either, but I'll feel safer when they're out. <laugh>

    Its almost nailed on now. Barca need to win because the league is all but gone. Supposedly they were always going to focus on becoming the first team to retain the CL trophy if you listen to the likes of Guillem Balague. They will win it bar some brilliant defensive tactics a la Inter under Mourinho

    This was exactly what I was a little worried about.. But for one: Chelsea taking the UCL is going to be VERY VERY improbable...And Everton against Liverpool, I'm a bit worried about that one... You can never say "Everton ain't gonna beat Liverpool" as that's just hoping everything falls into place. It's nowhere close to a guarantee that Liverpool is going to win so I don't know why you guys are so sure that Liverpool will win. Therefore 5th is our best chance of getting into Europe...

    I would rather Chelsea won the champions league than us getting European football.

    I would ****ing love Chelsea to beat Barca then go on and win the thing.

    Pride of England is more important than club loyalty.

    <laugh> I assume you're having a laugh. **** Chelsea. Come on Barcelona. This is club football, any self respecting supporter should care about their club first and foremost. I'd put the national team above club which many wouldn't because I believe in national pride, but an English team winning the CL only does one thing for greater good, raise the profile of the PL. Sorry Newcastle United is far more important to me.

    I am being deadly serious.

    I would love Chelsea to beat Barca then beat Real or Bayern.

    Europa League can be a poisoned challice and as long as Liverpool beat Everton we should be fine with 6th anyway. We might even get 5th, Chelsea have a busy fixture list and we might even do them at their place.

    Why **** chelsea? You would rather a foreign team win the Champions League? wtf

    Chelsea cannot beat Barca.

    If God smiled on them and they did, they can't beat Real Madrid. Both Real and Barca are much, much better than anything in the Prem

    Certainly if it will benefit Newcastle. Its a non discussion anyway as it will not happen. Chelsea are the weakest side left in.
