I kind of agree with this. I just think United at this point of the season at home are nigh on impossible to beat. Young has come into form, Valencia is tearing people apart on the wings and Rooney still looks as sharp as ever, even Ferdinand, Evans and De Gea have looked amazing recently. If QPR put in the kind of performance Fulham did there are plenty of positives you can take, far better to lose like that than get turned over 5-0 where the moral is dampened. in these kind of games performance matters more than the result.
Dead Right in Nines!!! Bilboweled to a crisp! Then we can really enjoy the deep fried easter eggs! Come on URRRRRRRRRR's
This is pure and utter b*ll'*x!!! Right now we can perform like sh*te and it doesn't matter - it is Results = Points that we need, not positives, plaudits and pats on the head for well tried boys, well played, next time maybe, like in the next decade!! Comeon, spare me!!! Come on URRRRRRRRRRR's
Ooooooh, I just love it when nines goes on the positivity wacky backy stuff.... Nines, have you made the all important prediction yet.....
Well its turned out okay in the end. Everyone losing with us getting the toughest fixture in the league out of the way. 6 games left. 3 against top teams, 3 against mediocre teams.
It did! We lost 2 - 0 in a game where we could have opened a gap to the bottom 3, lost Derry for a while if we don't get his red overturned, had under 30% possession in stats for long periods of the game they showed on the TV in Italy, and we didn't look like we could find our own players with the ball if we had had 20 players on the pitch (Adel was appalling in this respect). We defended quite well, but nevertheless were lucky not to lose 5-0, and though the red and penalty was almost as bad a refereeing decision as the disallowed goal at Bolton, we looked onto a hiding before that.
We were not lucky, That should have been a straight red right at the start, it should have been 11 against 10 in our favour with the score at 0-0. The game would have been different then.
If that's your opinion then fair enough but I don't think it's realistic to go to Old Trafford and expect to take anything from United in this form. Even for the top 6 if would be tough never mind anyone else. I thought you gave a decent performance under the circumstances and can take plenty of positives. I'd far rather lose to circumstances out of your control and play well rather than play rubbish and get turned over. Momentum is important and it hasn't been lost and I think you'll still go into the game with Swansea with a degree of confidence.
Ok, understand! I thought it was a yellow when I saw that, live so to speak. I thought maybe you meant for Young's dive - when I saw the ref pulling a card I thought it was going to be a yellow to Young for diving. Couldn't believe what I was seeing when i saw Derry go!
He didnt even get a yellow for it, the bad thing is the ref saw it as it was a FK. I also thought it was going to be a FK to us for diving too. I hope the club goes public with the FA reasoning as to why it wasnt rescinded.
That's a good point Flyer. Don't like seeing guys getting sent off in what should be a mans game but a two-footed lunge is a straight red, simple as. Cisse got a five match ban for his effort up at Sunderland after all.
