Anyone seen their second penalty . It's beyond a joke. Should we just have played Barca vs Real and dispensed with the rest of the tournament? How can one club get all these dubious decisons every single year in the CL?
It was an unbelievably soft pen. The evidence that Barca get favourable decisions from the ref is undeniable.
I think it was a definate pen and the ref should applauded for giving it.As far as i'm aware the pulling of an opponent's shirt is foul play and being the offence took place in the penalty area a penalty was the correct decision.
Disagree cym, I think Puyol should've been pulled up for a foul on Nesta. Never trust that slimey twat Busquets either. Milan denied a stonewall pen there too.
I think the foul on Ibrahimovic at the start of the 2nd half looked more like a pen than the Barca 2nd pen.
I must admit i only turned the game on as the pen was given but from what i saw the Barca player's shirt was definately being pulled
Bloody hell - can we have a long running words-fight between you lot? Makes a change from the usual suspects
Barca So Talented yet F****** Cheats PISSES ME OFF However if AW does retire I'd take Pep as the manager
The problem with this view is that shirt pulling happens all the time - there would need to be 10-15 penalties game if the law were upheld consistently. It seems that any excuse to give Barca a decision is grabbed gleefully. Add in the fact that clear penalties are not given against them, and players get sent off in almost every big game they play, and you are left wondering how all these mistakes favour one side.
Shirt pulling should also be a yellow card every time. I have yet to see someone pulling on a shirt without it being deliberate.
No I didn't - I responded to the point that shirt pulling happens all the time and people get away with it. I was making the point that they shouldn't just get called, they should be carded as well.
I know - which means you missed the point, which was it is not applied consistently and it seems that Barca get best of the 'mistakes'
Barca should have been given two clear pens in the San Siro. So for this tie, it's swings and roundabouts. But, that Chelsea game back in 2009 was scandalous and RVP got sent off for kicking the ball away ONE second after the whistle. One of the worst calls I have seen from a ref at that level.
what was more disgraceful and got me real riled up was how the Barca players tried to send the Milan player off for the first penalty, they got the penalty at once, but they still all ran up to the ref clamouring for a red and started throwing tantrums when it was a yellow. Once again they show that for all their great football play, they lack class, and that's what will always be the downside to this Barca fans would fans who don't have the blinkers on, this Barca team has lacked great class and have often shown they are very very unsportsmanlike.
shirts are always being pulled in the penalty box at corners and free kicks. technically its a foul, but no team ever gets the penalty for it, except for barcelona. agree with the running at the ref, but thats how they play in spain. barca are the worst tho. did u see for a small foul on busquets at the end, who rolled around a bit for very little, puyol ran the length of the pitch (sprinting) just to moan at the ref. very surprised i didn't see valdez do that as well.
