Actually, no. The fairplay league is graded on so much more than the amount of cards you get. mIf it were, you would be below us. In fact, cards only makes up 1/5th of the scoring system. Points are also deducted for:

Fast paced play - considering we like to kill teams off by taking the sting out of the game and knocking it around the midfield, we will have lost a lot of points here.
Respect towards opponents - well, we've been in so many scuffles I think this one is self explanatory <laugh>
Respect to the ref - don't think we'll have done too badly in this one
Behaviour of coaches and backroom staff - a couple of little scuffles, includign against your lot, will have brought us done here.
Behaviour of fans - points are taken off for bad language, and added on for cheering good play from the opposition. Ridiculous <doh>

Please don't criticise my club when you know **** all about what you are talking about <ok>

We have more points than you in all criteria (which is a good thing btw)

Red and Yellow us 215 you 211
Positive play us 193 you 189
Respect opponents us 151 you 145
Respect refs us 157 you 148
Behaviour of Officials us 141 you 130
Behaviour of fans isnt actually in the table so got no idea what that is.

For categories 1-5, the overall assessment of a team is obtained by adding up the points given for the individual categories, dividing this sum by the maximum points score (40) and multiplying it by 10.
In addition, there is one further category assessed by the Fair Play delegate.
    Behaviour of the public

So we beat you in all categories, but in all honesty, its a load of crap anyway.

The key point undoubtedly. I think we should just do away with giving any spots etc to the fair play winners. Its a load of ****e. It was designed to encourage teams to play more fairly. But those who bend the rules more than any (the big sides) have no interest in the Europa League so what is the point. I'm disappointed if we're anywhere near the top of the table. It ususally means your team don't have the competitive edge required.

Newcastle managed to grab a draw with 11 v 10 against Sunderland. Newcastle are good at that, all kudos where it is deservedly due.

    That's the one matey.

It's fairly obvious what happened, Suarez let a whiffy go. So strong was said whiffy that Cabaye was knocked out for nearly 60 seconds!

How lucky have they been this season?

How many pen decisions, offsides have gone their way?

They've done well but a lot of it has been aided by luck

Even though I hate defending the mags, I don't think Cabaye dived there. I think Suarez clipped his legs.

That would be Cabaye trying to get Suarez into trouble. As I said on our board, I'm loving this new found dark side. We've finally work up and smelt the coffee. Every other team is cheating so enough of the honest ****e, seek whatever advantage you can. If the FA decide to act and get all the teams to start playing fair, then I'd be happy to see us follow suit. Until then, **** the oppo because they'll do it to you.

There have been games where we have been aided by luck and games where we really haven't (Luiz somehow now getting sent off for his foul on Ba, Larsson not getting sent off and giving away a penalty in the derby, Song not getting sent off in the first game of the season despite stamping on one of our players, etc). Because we are doing well people focus on our good luck to explain it, in the same way as clubs which are doing badly have fans who moan about the bad luck. We are 10 points above 7th place, that's a mammoth gap and 'luck' doesn't explain it all no matter how blinkered you may try to be.

Yes the sending off in the derby did change the game but it was a fair sending off, that's not luck that's the rules of the game. Seems alot of fans think the rules should only be applied when it favours their team?

Ps. Cabaye was awesome for the first 10-15 games of the season, a real world-class find. Since christmas he's been nowhere near that level and some of his challenges and behaviour have been erratic to say the best. That dive is just embarrasing, but i'm sure sunderland don't have any players like that right?

Not sure why i responded in a sensible manner, you're clearly just trying to spoil for a fight - using emotive words like "scum" and "trolls" undermines any point you may be trying to make and instead just makes you sound bitter and pathetic. Now why is that?

I did read the thread (its not hard) and most contributors made fair enough points, there's a handful of posters from both sides who let themselves down by littering their comments with a stream of unnecessary snipes. Personally i don't feel the need to label all Sunderland fans as scum or unwashed or anything else really. Fair enough if that's how you want to communicate you make some valid points about football and newcastle and you are correct in saying you've done it on the Sunderland board so credit to you for not posting this on the Newcastle one (which is mostly dead now anyway it seems) - i just think its a shame you feel the need to come out with the same old stereotypes which sunderland and newcastle fans have been coming out for years. We may as well just make a single thread where we type words like scum, unwashed, mackem, twat, etc in capitals and be done with it. If it means the other threads can just have some points about football rather than tripe then i'd be in favour.

If it helps, I always have the swear filter on. I can swear all by myself, I also bar the hate merchants. Strange though It may seem, I do have people on my mates list whom other people dislike, some from the outher side.
