Read the bit I quoted in bold, read what I wrote and try to reply with something relevant to that rather than getting on the defensive and putting words in my mouth.
you're implying that even our away support does not come from manchester .... so what's your point? And to all United's away support has always been the biggest in the country, and has ALWAYS been more vocal than at OT, which has always had it's tourists due to the United's heritage. They are more apparent today due to the collosul building OT has been become, and with all seating stadia constraints after football sold it's soul! now if anyone else has a better opinion, or some stroppy yid from seven sisters has another gem to come up with I'M all ears!
I didn't imply anything. I said that Sky interviewed 5 United fans leaving the stadium and none of them had a Manc accent so the United support wasn't all Mancunians like the guy I quoted said. I didn't realise my post was going to be so difficult to understand without you guys desperately trying to read something negative into it
Do you really think that mentioning that SSN spoke to 5 supporters who all had non Manchester accents, and it was merely interpreted wrongly? Try again.
Yep. It's possible to talk about United's non-Manchester based support without the need for you to go jumping to conclusions about it being overly negative. It's like when people talk about United getting a lucky decision, all of a sudden you fans get on the defensive and say how stupid it is to believe that Fergie runs the FA and it all evens out, yada, yada.
As Sir Alex Ferguson's side patiently toiled for a breakthrough at Ewood Park, the choral onslaught bellowed by the packed Darwen End helped haul United to three huge points. "They were fantastic," marvelled Sir Alex Ferguson, speaking to Sky Sports. "They are unbelievable. They deserved the result tonight because they never stopped. They urged us on the whole way; they almost sucked the ball in.
you really are thick! no-one has ever denied that united are not only supported/followed by anything but mancunians ..... United's ground as we are reminded on numerous occasions is not in manchester, another cliche banded about united, SSN talks to 5 fans out of 7,000 so what exactly is your point? If you think you're being clever think again, if you think you're original again...... think again.
Man Utd's away support are nutters. They stand for the entire match and sign their hearts out. Great stuff.
