That's a lot of allowances to make for your hero! I'm willing to accept your first, that is bad luck. Keepers will only get better, there are loads out there and only 20 spots in the league. Who rebuilds by changing half the team? Who gets paid £3m a year and doesn't have a plan b?
Muppet General Allow me to query a few of your points: You seem to think we should take credit for the number of woodwork hits? why? these are just misses. Why have WE got the largest number? You seem to think we should also take credit for the outstanding opposition GK performances. Why is this a credit to our team? I'd rather we had more crap performances form the other GK and we had won. What gives oppostion GK the confidence to performa well at Anfiled? Rebuilding: yes Complacency or despondency: FFS why can't millionaire professional players and manager perform as they should? I go to work and come home on my meagre wages. I have more reason to be despondent. Complacency? whose fault is it? When we won the Carling Cup, I thought it was great and to win a trophy after 5/6 years. But I was worried that Kenny was putting to much emphasis on it and giving his team an air of complacecy: we have achieved a great triumph! the hunger had been part satisfied! No wonder they completely relaxed and played sh*t in the league. Kenny's experience: Agreed that he knows a lot about football and he learnt a lot from the likes of Stein, Paisley, Shanks. He also took over a top class all conquering team with players who knew what had to be done. There was also a boot room which is no longer there. What he is trying to do here is build from scratch and so far it does not look good at all.
When would you prefer him to get sacked carl? And who's your choice as his successor? Do you hope we get beat in all of our remaining games so that he deffo goes in the summer and will you celebrate if he leads us to an FA Cup win?
At the moment I would prefer him to go in the summer. A few months ago, I said I was very unhappy with the way our team was performing or rather not performing but willing to give the benefit of the doubt and that he should stay for another year. But after such appalling run, a record 6 defeats out of seven, worst for 58 years. I cannot see how he can stay. His staying would mean give him money to spend. AFTER PAYING WELL OVER THE ODDS FOR CARROLL, DOWNING AND HENDERSON I WOULDN'T GIVE HIM ANOTHER PENNY NEVER MIND TENS OF MILLIONS. There are many other top managers in European football who would jump at the chance of managing a club like Liverpool. Remember with £4 million you can get a high calibre manager. IMO Kenny is not doing enough to justify that huge amount of money, in fact not enough to justify a tenth of that!
What the **** are you on about? Its a relevant question,as carl wants him sacked i'd be interested to know when he'd like it to happen.
Fair enough. But will you feel guilty cheering us on until the end of the season knowing that if we win the FA Cup he'll deffo be here next season?
Why would I feel guilty FFS? This is a club I have bl**dy supported for tens of years. If we win I will celebrate. You cannot have it BOTH ways. When we get humiliated with SIX defeats out of 7 and out of the top 7 and going dwon the league, according to you and some others it is NOT and NEVER Kenny's fault. oh but when we win it is all Kenny's glory. so F**k off. We will have won DESPITE Kenny!!!!
So we win 'despite' Kenny but lose because of Kenny. You've ripped him to pieces on here during the last few days and you played into the hands of the wums. You go ballistic when anyone calls your loyalty but have split the board pushing your mission to get Dalglish sacked. Your the one who wants it both ways lad.
No you are the one who is trying to have both ways. I said if YOU (which you are) are trying to get him off the hook for our defeats then YOU cannot give him credit for our wins. I only said the last bit to follow you bloody argument and show how stupid it was. If you are willing to say that Kenny has to take responbility for the defeats, the fair enough he should be given the credit for the wins too.
So my argument is stupid and my loyalty is stupid because you want him sacked and anyone who thinks differently should '**** off' So the credit he'd have from you for say two domestic cup wins in his first season wouldn't be enough in your eyes to keep him in his job?
Actually Kenny has experience in building a team from nothing but im sure you will counter with that was with Jack Walkers millions and was another time and nothing to do with Kenny. Your right about about complacentcy, it's rather worrying that once it appeared 4th was out of reach the players seem to not be giving their all, Kenny is a winner and you would expect him not to except this, for that he is at fault. Our finishing has been poor and every man and his dog was saying we needed another striking option, was the decision not to go buy someone in January Kenny's decision? Was the fact we made the decision to buy a player for £35mill 12 months before, the same player that was spending most of his time warming the bench anything to do with that decision? Goals win games and winning is more important than outplaying the opposition but you must admit that very few games this season we were dominated. Everything seems to have gone wrong this season but Im sure you can see that the missing spark infront of goal would revitalize this team, you may think that he isnt the right man or the job but in my opinion (which really means nothing) he deserves a fair crack of the wip (not 1 1/2 seasons). Sacking manager after manager does not work
I will respect your views because you seem to respect mine. And your views seem to be more objective than some of the irrational sentimental ones that we have had here. I have no problem in acknowledging that Kenny had done lots of good things as a manager in the past. He has won the premiership with Blackburn. that is a great achievement. Without wishing to diminish that achievement, we have to accept the fact that at the time Blackburn were buying the best players in the land, just like City is doing at the moment. Something that Kenny will not be able to do even if he stays in the next two seasons. But we have to accept facts. We are 8th in the league and if we do not halt that run soon we could be 10th. Our performances have been appaling over 90 minutes. Yes we may have been good over 30 or 45 minutes, then our heads drop and we play like headless chickens the rest of the match. A lot of people seem to excuse the team for the misses (striker not performing), player complaecency, despondency, GK perfrming well at Anfield. But at the end of it all it is the manager's responsbility to rectify that and crack the whip or whatever the manager has to do. Ultimately it is manager's task to make sure that the team performs and we have the results. Something is NOT right. Do you think that the red nosed scot at the end of East Lancs Road will accept that it is only certain players -Wellbeck's or Evans faults and not his? He will know ultimately the results are down to him. you may think he deserves to have a crak of the whip BUT do you in your heart and brain (all sentimentality for Kenny set aside) really think he can bring us the title within the next two seasons? IMO (a humble fan) the owners should look for a new manager in the summer (not now) and give him the funds to rebuild.
What I as a humble poor fan think is completely immaterial. The decision will be made by the owners. If their objective was to win a champions league and compete in the top competition in Europe, they won't be happy. Whether they will choose a different manager or will be prepared to give him more time because of the Cup wins will be up to them. Remember fans have very little say in the decisions. Money talks.
I am not the only one who doubts Kenny and does not think he is doing a fantastic job. http://myspaceantics.com/images/myspace-graphics/animations/throw-it-all-down-the-toilet.gif
ok,truce. We have opposing views but you said in an earlier post you'd give him until the end of the season. My gripe is that until the end of the season we should be united and then put our point of view across. None of us are happy with our league results and rightly so,and some of us see different causes for that. I cant be arsed arguing the toss,we cant agree,so lets just agree to disagree.
