Agree Hothead. We needed to beat Spuds or City to prove we have turned the corner. The only reason we have a chance of 4th is that there is a good chance one of you two will bottle it. If we were hunting two mentally tougher clubs.. no chance
Nice one Few jars in the tollington beforehand? My flight gets into London around 8.30am, so I've got plenty of time before Kick off. I may have to get pissed before the game in order force myself to sing and make myself look like a 'proper footie fan' like HotHead though. After all, I'm only 'Glory hunting south Londoner' who 'knows nothing about football' and I'm 'a plastic fake fan' who goes to games because it's the 'in thing' to do - and I only go to look 'fashionable' as I don't really know anything about London derbies and the rivalry. Unlike HotHead who doesn't need to go to games coz he's 'from da manor' . . .
And this, after HotHead told me he was going to expose my 'dumb and ******ed comments' You couldn't make it up
There you go again - its all over the forum, everyone is reading it. You saying there are no decent players in the world you not understanding football rivalries You knowing more than George Graham (priceless) And countless other dumbass comments that I have called you out about. I don't need to go to Arsenal to prove I am a fan my friend - but you do. Arsenal is in my blood. The fact you don't get football rivalries proves this entirely
Sorry hotHead but I really don't understand how (what you're basically saying is) you think actually travelling miles across the land to watch your team makes you LESS of a fan than if you sit watching it in your arm chair? I'm not saying people have to go to ever game to prove their loyalties but surely you want to go and show your support by cheering on your men in the flesh? I also understand that people can't attend many games due to work/family commitments but once or twice a season is surely plausible for the majority of people.
Drogs .. he knows what I am taklking about - some dumb comment he made earlier in the thread which suggested he doesn't understand the Arsenal/Tottenham rivalry. You can see from his comeback to my accusations he has nothing to say, surprised he hasn't deleted the comments to hide the evidence actually. For the record and I said this to Oxo too, I'm not saying people are less of a fan for not going - which is actually what some people have claimed on these boards in the past - I am saying that unless you have lived in an area you cannot possibly feel the same way for a club than someone who has. Case in point, Arsenal fans in Africa for example, how could they possibly know how it feels being an Arsenal fan in Holloway on derby day ? How can he know how it feels to go to the kebab shop on derby day after you've lost, wearing your Arsenal scarf and the owners are Spurs fans ??? Etc etc.
Yeah, I do the 40 posts to a page. When the gooners are yelling at each other, you don't want the bother of having click on a new page each time. It's too funny.
Page 15, post #282. The Arsenal V Spurs rivalry is far greater than simply a rivalry on the pitch - if you were from 'da manor' you would know that. Some Arsenal fan you are when you don't understand the rivalry.
My post, Page 15 #282 : And I don't understand the rivalry between Arsenal and Spurs how exactly ? By going to the game, instead of sitting on my arse watching it on Sky do you mean ?
Somebody wrote: Piskie replied that they still are for fans who go to the games. Total nonsense which, like I said PROVES that Piskie does not understand the Arsenal V Spurs rivalry. It affects the lives of far more than just those who go to games, the rivalry is far more than what is seen at the stadium too. Derby day, Wray Crescent park, N4, the Sunday kickabout. The banter, the arguments, the needle .. which carried onto the pitch and manifest itself by way of spicy tackles and more arguments. If you think the rivalry is just for the fans who go to games - you know F'all about it John.
