Following on from my who's the most overrated player in the premier league article i thought i would do one about players in europe.

Franck Ribery - I don't get the hype surrounding him, i remember watching him in the world cup 2 years ago and he was poor most of the france team were to be honest, when he was a youngster people were expecting him to be a world beater but i don't rate him at all

Arjen Robben - I honestly don't get why people rate him, all he cares about is himself and he got slagged off in the press by one of the Bayern Munich board members for not celebrating with his team-mates, also he's a diver.

Wesley Sneijder - Dear me this player gets overhyped too much for my liking i remember the nonsense last summer when we were linked with him and i' glad he didn't join us, he's had a poor season with Inter Milan and he was asking for stupid wages.

Do you agree/disagree with my choices ?

Actually those players are actually good imo. Ribery joint 2nd Bayern goal scorer this season with Robben. Very dangerous player as is Robben. You shouldn't judge Ribery on his performance in the last World Cup considering the entire French squad was a joke. Robben again a highly talented player. Yes he play acts and it pisses me off. However so does Nani, Rooney and Young at times. It happens with the modern footballer sadly. Also even if he appears selfish and doesn't celebrate with his team mates, doesn't mean he is overrated.

Finally I'd take Sneijder in a heart beat. However it'll not happen. If he's been poor at Inter for this season so what? 229 Club appearances in total and 62 goals. Also 64 international caps and 12 goals. For me a proper creative attacking midfielder. However he would cost the earth and for that reason I'd die of shock if he signed.

I don't agree with any of those Matth. I think they all really good players.

I'd go for Ibrahimovic. I just think he's **** to be honest <ok>

Luis Suarez, Carlos Tevez, Mario Balotelli, Fernando Torres, John Terry, Frank Lampard, David Silva, Sergio Aguero

A strong case can be made for all. All have massive reputations and all on their day can rip you apart..........their day is rare though. Even the 2 shock picks here ( Silva and Aguero ) have suddenly become terrible.

Ribery is a good shout for most overrated, he is defintely a good player but I have rarely seen much from him to suggest he is anywhere near the world class player many suggest he is, however Robben is an excellent player, yes he is greedy and selfish but he more often than not produces the goods on the pitch, Sneijder is also an excellent player but he is having a poor season along with the entire Inter team.

Sergio Ramos is my pick, he is hugely overrated as a defender, his positional sense is terrible and playing as a central defender this season he has been at fault for a lot of the goals Real have conceded.

Agreed, all three are world class. I don't think you can write someone off simply because they're a bit of a dick and they dive (Ronaldo would be first on the list otherwise <whistle>)

Overrated players in Europe though - David Villa, Sanchez, Ibrahimovic, Mascherano, Pato and finally Pique.

I actually think Pato is a very good player, the lad is still only 22 and he's already scored over 50 goals for Milan.
