Hello mate, what are you doing here? Lovely to see you. Andy will be allright, still young, thanks for your concern though Con. Cheers bud.
Personally i think all the newcastle players should be banned for the rest of the season for beating liverpool. Pardew should be locked in the Tower of London and Mike Ashley extradited to America to be tried for terrorism and sent to Guantanamo. If it wasn't for the massively biased media they would see this as well. Liverpool should have won 17-0, the referee basically disallowed all of the hundreds of chances they had... P.S. Why not focus on the similarities between games you've lost this season - poor finishing. That's why the Carroll dive is being talked about so much, he got himself into a position where it was hard to miss and a goal against Newcastle would have been just the cathartic expeerience he needed.
The original post reads like the poster is claiming you were robbed on Sunday A couple of years ago we came to anfield, had a goal ruled out and should/could have had 2 pens....there were posts on the old 606 board claiming all the decisions went pools way cos they were the bigger club....some of us said that the decisions just hid what an appalling game we played. You lot were really poor on Sunday and this article seems to be making the same mistake that the spurs ones did. As for the press loving certain managers I remember them on wroys case pretty much from day one pushing K.Ds name almost non stop. And re bale dive. ..Suarez was big bews and it was a piss poor tackle so was more news worthy than a dive by the corner flag...
The OP complained that Carroll's dive was getting highlighted in the media when a lot of others were being ignored. Imo, because of where it was it was always likely to get more attention, so I'm not surprised, but it doesn't make it worse than any other similar incident. Either way, I can't see how we're claiming we were robbed of the game- just a fair crack of the whip when it comes to media attention. For what it's worth, I thought we played poorly on Sunday and that Newcs deserved their win overall.
Spot on with this. Two Newcastle players guilty of shameful playacting in the same game nothing said, Suarez dives once in a game he is lambasted the next day in the media. Cabaye is a filthy dog he nearly breaks Spearings leg at Anfield with a horror tackle and now he tries to get Suarez sent off by cheating and nothing done or said about either incident.
I can see the headline now "Newcastle player dives in centre circle." Doesn't rarely match "Carroll dives when clean through on goal" does it. Prick
Newcastle fan in peace. Whatever the rights and wrongs of who did this and who did that, can you not see that the current public image of LFC is that of a racism tolerating, underachieving club, with a manager who comes across as both arrogant and ungracious; and whose fans want to place the blame everywhere but where it should be directed? You might say that LFC is more sinned against than sinning. However, be that as it may, the common perception is what counts, and at present Liverpool FC's reputation, outside one half of Meyseyside, appears to be at an all time low. To an outsider, it would appear that the fans are caught in a time warp, where "King Kenny" can do no wrong, even when it is manifestly clear that he has bought some mediocre players, at hugely inflated prices, and on massive wages, who are going to be very difficult to get off the club's books, other than by asking the owners to take a serious financial hit. As regards the players themselves, they appear to be massively underperforming, at present, which again must bring the manager into question, as he watches them training, and selects the team, the formation and tactics. A t NUFC we went down the road of reappointing a past "messiah" and we all know where that ended. In tears!
So, the club has a less than glamorous public image at the moment. What do you suggest we do about it? Kowtow to a media that has no interest in the truth or fairness and is motivated purely by the desire to sell itself? Journalists who want to be noticed by being outspoken and controversial and fans of other clubs who are looking to score tribal points are the ones who are creating this image. If the general public is taken in by this smear, it's because they are uninformed and largely disinterested. If anyone thinks the club or it's fans is going to roll over and die because that's what the vultures would like then they can think again. As for your other points, a cursory glance at this board will show you that we do not think "King Kenny can do no wrong", there has been plenty of criticism on here of every aspect of his tenure. However, he is our manager and deserves our support whilst he is in that role, as does every player who gives their best. The players are indeed under-performing, this is obvious and no-one is trying to deny it. But this is our club and we will continue to support it no matter how other people strive to vilify us. They can throw false accusations of racism, arrogance or whatever they like, it won't make it true. And eventually they'll get tired of it. I'm been supporting LFC now for almost 50 years and I always will, nothing anyone else says will make me feel any different.
Your club has dug its own hole here. Nobody else is to blame. Kenny and Liverpool choose to fully deny Suarez did anything wrong. They made a mockery of the club and its fans. There are much better ways of dealing with things instead of just denying everything. Kenny is 100% responsible for the tactics and set up of Liverpool in every game. Therefore when his tactics result in a defeat then he has to shoulder some of the blame. Instead he takes his ball and runs home like a bitch. The players, embarrassments. Ironically this is both your best and worst season though in many years.
Hodgson was chosen by a Chelsea supporter as our manager after pressure from the media darlings that had also touted him for the England job. Strange they all want 'Arry now, wonder why that might be.
As I said - uninformed. Any fair- minded person who read the FA report (as opposed to the bits the press selectively reported to suit their sensationalist agenda) could see that the FA got the whole thing catastrophically wrong. To call the whole club and anyone associated with it racist sympathisers is just simple-minded. The club defended itself against what it saw as a wrongful attack, it was a bit clumsy in that defence, true, but that doesn't make it wrong. Again, people seem to think we should just roll over because they say so, but that isn't going to happen.
Woy showed that his ambition for the club was not congruent with that of..well, everyone else really. He was happy to be a mid-table side, but no-one else is. Someone with that lack of ambition is never going to be able to take us any higher. Having said that, I was supportive while he was manager- I just wasn't sorry to see him go.
So seeming as he wasn't the fans choice you don't think he was deserving of your support ? Just asking as you have given this answe a few times when questioned over Roy
