"The most weak United team" , "English football in decline" are just a few words of pearly so called wisdom every other fan in the land is throwing towards United's direction at the moment, once again trying to downplay the sheer mountain this great team (dare I say it) and our GOAT manager have acchieved since the 6 - 1 drubbing (wake up call) we received at OT.

I don't know how many times I have stated this year that we will win the league over City, even after the 6 - 1 drubbing. I guess after following United and the beautiful game for so long I am long in the tooth and don't knee jerk react at everything in site. Reminds me if the title race with newcastle years ago, after the thrashed us at St James and agaisn't all odds we came back and won the title, big comparisons this year to the great season.

So where are we now, apparently left with an old past it team. Again I have argued with mnay friends and stuck up for your carricks, berba's, Evra and even Evans (as frustrating as he has been). We have a team full of champions mixed with youth and some new signings and every one of these players has choose to play for Man U not play for a bigger wage. That is the big difference say between A Young to say Nasri... Young and Jones and every single player would die for our badge where as say Nasri joined City for the project (more money more like). Again I love our philosophy pf only signing players who have their heart set on the club, that makes players and moulds teams into champions.

What grates on me, is that loads of fans try and downplay our acchievement in tackling and now it looks like silencing the money juggernaught that is City (at least for another year) but we get no plaudits, just jealous bitter deluded fans who try amnd downplay our unbelivevable season with twisted conspiracy theroies. Ok we may not be the swashbuckling UNited of yesteryear, but mark my words the last deacde has seen the most efficent, defensive, match winning team I have seen. Yes we may not sweep all aside each and every game, but we know how to win league titles at a canter. Granted we have lost Tevez and Cristiano and never really replaced like for like so any team in world football would feel those two leave, plus trhow in the improved quality of lower teams Stoke, Swansea, Norwich, Tottenham, Newcastle, Fulham and the tight nature of the bottom half of the table and hand on heart you have to say it is one of the best PL in years.

A bit long winded granted, but I am a very happy man approaching QPR this weekend.

Who cares what wums and abus think of the league. Am sure if their team was close to winning the league, they would not mention the league is poor which it is not.

I care, that's why I posted the thread, rather than just lay down and say 'your right' I want this team to have the recognitiopn they deserve and that includes are own fans backing them as well. Instead of divisions with people still rating Anderson as the best thing since sliced bread, slagging off berba, evans etc and thinking we should romp home to a 4 nil canter every game.

I agree, i'm sick to the back bollocks of our side being put down by brainwashed idiots who think we're average. Bang on in everything you said.

I don't think you are wrong in what you're saying.

However I don't care if rival fans give us the recognition we deserve or not as they're just bitters.

Us against the world has worked so far and long may it continue <ok>

Oh yes, the Sky Sports massive generation who think football started when the premiership began, they walk around bragging about every game being a potential thrashing and spouting off inane regurgitated drivel at anyone in earshot. They have zilch respect for anyone that does not win or even the history of our game, the kind of people that used to say on the old 606 "I don't care how much debt United get in as long as we win trophies" or "Carrick, Evans, Evra blah blah blah is rubbish, sell Carrick and pay 40 mil euros for ... insert name of euro playmaker here ."

As much as I love my club the real fans we're away at Blackburn last night, not the corporate and united fan for a day masses that fill The Theatre of Dreams, humming along to songs while wearing their shiny new top they just bought in the superstore, resisting the temptation to tuck into their Sainsbury special Tiger Prawns on a lightly dusted ciabatta before half time.

    and breathe

It will always be us agaisnt the world no matter what, just makes me laugh how our own fans and practically all the country get brainwashed by idiots in the media and fellow fans (sheep) who's only opinion on football is something they read in the Currant Bun or the friggin mail online.

If all goes well come May, I want this team to be lauded the world over for stopping the City Juggernaught with Youth, New Signings and the old guard plus Injuries to our captain and other key personell.By hampering Citeh for at least 1 more year is a result for football the world over. Let's be proud of this team of champions and yet to be champions, I will not have the efforts of our team downplayed by overhauling a point and obscene GD deficit, where Arsene Wenger is now receiving plaudits for just about reviving Arsenal?! hello wake up media and fans - this is the very least his postition remits each season.
I want SAF and our players to receive the recognition they deserve, not half hearted excuses by numpties who need to be educated.

    Again I don't disagree.

Unfortuntaley, if we win the league, you can already hear the excuses :

    1) City bottled it.
    2) It was Bolatellis fault.
    3) If Tevez had stayed

    Blah, blah, blah.

Like you say with what we have so far achieved this season with the injuries we have incurred and with everyone foolishly writting us off, it would be a brilliant achievement but I don't expect recognition from rival fans.

They will just start with the same old in preparation for next season, you in decline, your midfield is **** etc etc.

Let them do it, it only makes each achievement this squad achieves even sweeter <ok>

I guess your right mate, my personal crusade to prove people wrong will fall on deaf ears, especially the fickle arrogant un-willing football fan / wummery

One of the greatest acheivements of SAF (and there have been many) has been to meet the formidable challenge of City's financial juggernaut head on.

All the premiership clubs have cause to be thankful. The money that City has spent and are spending have just been astronomical and no one could match it. Furthermore City at the start of the season were wiping the floor with the top teams.

United are almost there (not quite) but to have stayed the course with City and overtaking them has just been magic. As soon as we got kicked out of the CL, I wanted us to focus on the prem. Forget the carling, the FA cup or the Europa. With our young team in transition, it is better to win the title than to stay in mickey mouse cups.

Agreed, the United fans yesterday did the club proud, passionate fans singing their hearts put for the full match and it was much louder than you could hear on tv.

The home crowd is full of corporate muppets, Tourists and day trippers. Compared to other major clubs home support, we have a poor home crowd. Even the stretty end crowd is not very loud to be honest and every time an away crowd come to Old Trafford, they always say how poor the home crowd was and sadly they are right.

And on the Liverpool board, what a massive surprise. Dickheads.

You can add Adrian Durham to the list, just had to listen to that utter ****'s bile about how United won't have won the league, City will have lost it. And it's ok for Barcelona to have a good season and not win the league but we'll have had a bad season if we do win ours!

The man is a ****ing imbecile.

Durham is a balloon. Tomorrow he could end up taking the opposite position just so he can upset people.

Further to what we were talking about the other day. It's not blaming the league as being poor in the below case but another type of example of refusal to credit United with anything.

    ''Really misguided.

The team to stop City winning the league this year will be Manchester City, certainly not United. City just had to keep it going, it faltered, fair enough can only blame themelves not credit Fergie for City's failures in the home straight ''

Obviously Uniteds form and our refusal to let them walk the league has no effect on Citys mental state <whistle>

Just another example of the type of **** we going to face <grr>
