An Amber Nectar article from yesterday makes reference to rumours currently circulating in Hull about "something" occuring at the Club in the first part of last week, which apparently might go some way to explaining the shambolic performance at Pompey.

I've not heard anything myself, but am not based in Hull.

Does anyone know anything on this?

Apologies if this has already been covered on another thread - haven't checked in here for a while.

It could have something to do with Growing Grass in Winter.!!! Hull City will pioneer this concept. The result will mean that the KC pitch will remain lush all year round. Now that news is enough to shock anyone and everyone. <whistle>

It's because Barmby brought Koren off against Southampton, Fryatt started on nick while Koren sped off at half time, mowed down a little boy who in turn dropped his ice cream. Last week the mother of the little boy came in to the dressing room to ask for the offender to refund the price of the ice cream the little boy had just opened. The woman thought Fryatt did it, he pointed the finger at Koren who instead blamed Barmby for taking him off saying he should reimburse the lady for the ice cream. None of them wanted to pay for it and couldn't reach an agreement, so moral was very low in the camp with all the squad split between te 3 parties involved.

I think the rumours doing the rounds last week were probably nonsense, I can't even remember what they were, Koren storming out the ground and Fryatt falling out with another player I believe.

Well it was me that opened the thread about the first rumour involving Koren and Fryatt. I asked the person I got it from how reliable it was and he said his daughter's place of work has a box at the KC and she heard this from someone inside the club. Like I said probably chinese whispers and it was blown out of proportion but in the heat of the moment I should imagine arguments do happen and looking back on the way Fryatt was talking in interviews around that time I wouldn't be surprised if there wasn't a little bit of truth in it.

Koren was still at the KC at full time and was seen signing autographs outside the players entrance long after the final whistle. I think the only bit that may have any truth to it is NB and MF having a frank discussion. It happens.
