Hahaha. Just thought about what you said and then remembered what happened when I last went to a game with Piskie. Trust me he is not THAT person. The guy did not stop singing and supporting the team for the whole game.
All I know is that if I had the chance to go to a match I'd sing my heart out regardless of the score line Anyway we should get back on topic
That doesn't mean he understands football though does it ?!! That doesn't mean he has Arsenal in his blood. Could just mean he was pissed and sang all game. Like I said I know season ticket holders who I'm sure go because it's the in thing to support a football team.
Are you coming to the Chelsea game Jack ? I'm meeting up with Cym in the Tollington again. We could all get pissed and then go to the game and sing and pretend to be a 'proper footie fan' like HotHead
I am saying you don't understand football, thats why you don't get it, you don't understand what it is to have Arsenal in your blood. For you, going to football matches is the "in thing", its fashionable to be a football fan. You going to matches and singing proves nothing at all except you can afford to go and you have time to go. Doesn't mean you aren't a plastic or fake fan.
You saying so doesn't make it so. I think you will find my argument is straight up football fan, living the rivalry, not some glory hunting South Londoner trying to make out he is the biggest Arsenal fan in the world - when he doesn't even have a clue about Arsenal's BIGGEST rivalry. Oh let me guess, you were born and raised in/near Woolwich so Arsenal is in your blood ......
Anyone reading the comments on this page can make their own minds up, you're just providing the fodder to show yourself up. Keem em coming HotHead, you're doing a great job exposing the 'dumb and ******ed' comments
I first saw Arsenal play in 1967.The reason i chose to be an Arsenal fan back then is because i was a glory hunting plastic. We all know how Arsenal were dominating football back then.It was great watching them win trophies year after year
Back to what taken over this thread though as long as you stick to your team and support it through the bad times as well as the good you are a supporter IMO
I'm not having a go at Piskie. For what it's worth I think he is a genuine Arsenal fan and whilst I might disagree with his opinions he strikes me as proper Arsenal however I totally agree with you on this point about Season Ticket Holders and Status. It reminds me of what Piers Morgan said on Twitter to Frimpong about owning 4 Season Tickets despite never going to a game, I just don't get it. It's become a fashion statement for the middle/upper class IMO.
Cym You go to games though, you travel thousands of miles each year to see Arsenal play. You've been for years way before many people here (including myself) were even born. You've embraced the culture of Arsenal FC and basically assimilated. You know Arsenal and probably North London off the back of your hand so nobody would say you aren't a true supporter. I'm not saying people are plastic, for what it's worth I don't think overseas fans are any less passionate than local or match-go-ers, it's just a different way of supporting. I'm going to make a thread about it on the Chelsea board now as we're detracting from the thread, anyone feel free to come along.
I still think chelsea will fall short, and we are still to play them at the emirates meaning we can stretch our lead further, right now our focus should be on maintaining 3rd place in the league and we have a huge match on sunday, whereas spurs should win the rest of there games as they have none of the top 5 left to play.
I know, I'm quite enjoying making you look like a pleb. Back to the thread .. I still don't think Chelsea have turned a corner, they haven't played anyone of note in the league since Di Matteo took over
