Coming to a big top near you......the Gyan circus in town... Ghana striker Asamoah Gyan is open to a return to Sunderland, according to reports from the Wearside. The 26-year-old has been a hit at UAE side Al-Ain since his shock loan move to the Gulf in September last year. Al-Ain officials are keen to tying down the Ghana international to a permanent. Last month, the English Premier League side announced that an unnamed Qatari side had made a bid for the former Rennes ace. But reports from Sunderland say manager Martin O'Neil is keen on getting Gyan back at the Stadium of Light to help his new project at the club. "There have been talks in the past few days with the player (Gyan) who is quite open about returning to the club," a Sunderland insider told the Sunderland Echo. "O'Neil is leaving his options open at the end of the season and both parties will sit down for further talks in the summer and Gyan is positive about it." Gyan scored a brace last Friday to become the UAE Etisalat Pro League top scorer with 15 goals.
A BIG FAT NO from me. Don't want one that's only in it for themselves & all too happy to let their team mates flounder when the going gets tough.
i think if it help one Sessignon stay in town i whould deffinatly play gyan.... assuming he has a full preseason because i heard he has put on the pounds
Well I understand your feelings but if he wants to come and ON wants him then that's fine by me, I'm not sure we are that big a club that we can say **** off to a 13 mil striker
Greedy twat, or sick of Bruce's management style, or a bit of both? I'll be happy with whatever MON decides. But I have to say, from a purely football point of view, a fully fit line up of: Gyan, Bendtner (if he stays) Sess Mcclean, Cattermole, Larsson is quite a mouthwatering prospective
Another question then... Seas comes to Marty and says im good frainds with guan if he is leaving I want out please... Do you keep Gyan and seas but give up massive oil money and lose sess
15 goals??? I could score more that that in that tin-pot pisshole of a league. And hadn't he scored 11 by November? He's also managed to alienate himself from the Ghana fans. Tough, my opinion is he's ****ed it, but if he came back, linked with Sess, and scored goals....
I believe it was Gyan who convinced him to come to sunderland and also there was quite a group of African players now there's just him
This is s very good way to look at it - Gyan and Sessegnon will probably work well together. They apparently built up a very good friendship and, if Gyan comes back as the player we originally signed, we can pocket the 6m loan fee and get him playing again - but the paper says "A Sunderland Insider" - was his name Chris??
