I was driving in the strange state of Queensland today , where personalised number plates are to be seen on just about every second car ;basically , it seems , you can have just about anything that fits on a reg plate so long as no one else has got it. Also , if youve just passed your driving test here you have to have "P" plates ( for provisional) attached to your car ,normally slotted into the regular license plate. almost lost it on the highway when I noticed I was driving behind a car with the registration "AEDO 1 " and immediatly thought , if only he had his " P" plates attached. Ah , well....maybe you had to be there.
**** me, Australia is **** for drivers! Do the still have the big signs, "STOP, WRONG WAY" on the slip roads? As if you wouldn't work it out with 4 bastard lorries coming toward you!
I was driving in Cork a couple of years ago and instead of the road sign that says "Give Way" it said "Yield"
California's the same. When I lived there I was told the people who issue the plates check every request in a mirror, just in case some tnuc is trying it on.
Had a similar experience on Holiday, I noticed that every time I got in the pool the mothers pulled their kids out? Turns out the 'S' had fallen off my 'Speedo swimming trunks.
