Sorry but all three of those players are quality at what they do. You said Parker makes 5 yard passes but you're forgetting he does the job he's asked as a defensive midfielder better than most.
Oh and Ferdinand, Evra, Suarez, Bale are all overrated. The scousers also rate Lucas a lot higher than he is.
I don't get why people knock Parker's ability to pass the ball 5 yards. They don't realise that this is what Busquets does for most of the time!? People have criticised him for not being all action bombing up and down the pitch but also critiscised him for getting stuck in. Nothing wrong with either of these qualities. If you are good at closing the opposition and winning the ball back and passing it quickly to players that can do more with it, that's a bloody good player in my mind. Not that I think he's an amazing player. He is a good player at his position. Not a world beater but you don't have to be in order to be sucessful.
Nasri. Below average player yet first Arsenal then City fans and the media would have you think he's top quality.
I quite like Parker and his ability to get up and down the pitch plus his tackling. I wanted United to sign him in the Jan transfer window back in 2010 as a 2-3 season stop gap until Pogba came through or we signed another player.
I think Parker works best in a 3 man midfield, so yesterday how Spurs ended up with a midfield of Lennon- VdV- Parker-Modric-Bale with two obvious widemen and VdV and Modric able to push forwards is I think their best midfield. I don't see us playing with 3 in midfield for the foreseeable future. I know a few seasons ago, the opposite was the case, 3 in midfield was all that we played- we simply didn't have a lot of striking options apart from Rooney and Berbatov. Back then, I think Parker would have been a feasible option- we were relying heavily on Fletcher and Scholes and even Giggs in CM. Now, would he get in the team? I don't think so. I think we do require a combative CM force, like we had with Hargreaves, but he was so much more than just a defensive mid, you could play him in a midfield 2 and he'd still provide an attacking option.
Ah you said squad, I said team! I can understand the value of Parker in the squad but I'd rather have Anderson. I'm not giving up hope on him yet!
I would personally drive Anderson back to South America. Good for nothing player who is always injured, sits on his arse and picks up a wage packet. Time to go. There is nothing to ever suggest that he'll be fit for long enough to influence the team, and sorry if I annoy anyone here, but people who say he'll come good are as blind as those Liverpool fans who say the same about Carroll. By the way if he ever does come good, then I'll admit I was wrong, but I'm not holding my breath.
IMO, if he leaves, it won't be because he isn't good enough or because he hasn't performed. I think it will be a bit like Saha and Hargreaves, injuries playing a big part of what should have been a long and illustrious United career.
I've seen plenty. Strong, quick, decent tackler, only central midfielder that we have that has the talent and confidence to run from deep with the ball as well. Technically has all the attributes to be a great central midfielder.
