http://www.thisisbristol.co.uk/High...lenge-Ashton/story-15694649-detail/story.html So, after the council stated that it was 100% done and that Bristol City would get their stadium we're now set for a full hearing in the summer when we're a League 1 team. To say that I'm disgusted is an understatement. We've been kicked while we're down and I wouldn't be surprised if SL walked after relegation and losing the stadium fight. Now more than ever we need our boys to fight and keep our status as a Championship team.
hopefully they is gonna be told yes it was wrong for part of it to be a village green as if whole area has to be classed a village green so as it's not then the land cant be used for a village green but that common sense so some guy in London will say no should be all village green and then we is stuck at Ashton gate
I truly have a bad feeling about this. Common sense appears to have gone out the window from the Nimbys and legal complexities mean this could go against us. Everyone knows that the TVG is a complete sham and is just a development blocking tactic but the problem is that the judge has to pay no attention to common sense and uphold the law as it is written. We may find ourselves back at square one and SL will have a worthless piece of land in his portfolio. Meanwhile the Gas are forging ahead with their new stadium. I hope for their sake that this goes through without the utter BS that we have been faced with. "Ground share" will be the thread topics in a few years time......
Quite clearly there must be lots of starving lawyers with nothing better to do than make waves to earn more money. I have probably missed something, but who on earth is financing the nimby's legal fees? There is something behind this legal debacle that stinks of anti-City sentiment and someone must know who the main culprit is, because I doubt that it has very little to do with a snotty village green being polluted by dog poop. Can't we get health and safety involved to stop this clear intention to fill up an old landfill with dog excrement (lol)?
I always thought that if he don't get the go ahead, he has plans for AG, put the away fans in the Atyeo and rebuild the Wedlocks along with the Williams, we can have a decent stadium there. And then he can invite the Dale Farm residents to live on his land in Ashton Vale, bet the nimbys would wish a stadium was built then!
My Gawd.......at last you've seen sense! http://www.itv.com/news/west/update...-city-fc-new-stadium-allowed-judicial-review/
Bloody hell - talk about kicking someone when they're down! ITV are not going to endear themselves to Teds! Seriously though, invermeremike has a very good point when he asks who is financing the TVG campaigners. It's time that whoever is behind it is exposed as their activities are a disgrace and holding back a development that will be of huge benefit to both your club and the wider city of Bristol. I genuinely hope that in a few years time, making yourself at home in your new stadium, you can look back on this as an annoying glitch. Both Bristol teams need and deserve new stadia.
Ha, so obvious and missed it... Or maybe its not so wild a suggestion and may be a look in to the future?
I think you're right - it's a look into the future. Both teams playing at the UWE Stadium under the name on the side of the stand: Bristol Rovers Football Club
That's what I like about old Bbd he always comes on here and talks complete crap and thinks he's being funny.... please log in to view this image
I haven't been on here for weeks my sweet, but I'd thought I'd pop over and make sure that you're ok, especially after the bad news this weekend
That's very clever Wiz - how did you manage to get six of City's players in the same place at the same time....
