Our team would be: ----------------------Reina----------------- --Kelly--Mertersacker-Agger--Enrique-- --Gerrard--Martinez--M'Vila---Turan---- -------------------Pacheco----------------- --------------------Torres------------------ Manager: AVB I'm just thinking of some of the old players every one used to fantasise about.
What happened to Pacheco?! Was so highly rated by a lot of us but now can't get a game at Rayo Vallecano... Massive shame.
He is on loan to A.Madrid who, in turn, loaned him to Rayo Vallecano (jkielq91 - that is when a playing temporarily goes to another team, not a player upfront on their own ) Edit: probably should have read all of Chris's comment before jumping head first at the opportunity to highlight jkielq91's problems with loan / lone
He never got a chance, he played about 200 minutes of 1st team footy last yr for us, Ngog about the same age got about 2000 minutes and was shi*e every week
The more up to date version would be: ----------------Reina------------- Richards--Skrtel--Agger---Baines-- ----------------Lucas---------------- ----------Gerrard-----Alonso-------- ----Sterling-----------------Suarez-------- ---------------Cavani-------------- Not a bad team in truth
Litle Pacheco must get very tired playing up top on his own. I always thought there must be some major reason why neither Rafa, Hodgson and Kenny never used Pacheco. I think we are seeing that now. But he done so well at Norwich on loan.
Fair points. He was massively rated by a lot of us but never got the chance we felt he deserved. Like jkielq91 has said, the fact that Rafa, Hodgson & Kenny haven't given him an extended run in the side says a lot. Maybe there were issues in training? Hardy helping himself over in Spain either... 8 games. 0 goals. And is struggling to get on the bench for Rayo Vallecano. I've got a feeling he'll be moved on in the summer.
I think N'Gog did ok. I often thought Pacheco looked lazy when he did play. He also seemed scared of players who are taller than him, which is most players.
From what I saw of Pacheco in the first team, I certainly wouldn't call him lazy. He tracked back and the main memory I have of his time was making a tremendous sliding tackle near the left back position! I actually think he still has time to knuckle down and become a decent player but he will not fulfill the potential of a season or two back. People slate N'Gog but he was put into the first team too early because of our lack of depth up top. Once Torres was out we had very few other options. N'Gog was a better choice than Kuyt (because of how we played under Rafa), Voronin and Babel for upfront.
