    getting back to something resembling a football discussion, take a look at the 2 games between Hearts and Spurs in the Europa League qualifiers earlier in the season to guage a good comparison on the current quality of the 2 leagues.

    Celtic reach Europe regularly because they reside in what is essentially a two team league. Simply, the lack of competition means that you'll always reach Europe in some capacity, and once in a while you'll do very well. Of course, Celtic's best days were back in the 1960-70s and today's Celtic is a pale shadow of teams of the past. I remember when Celtic would easily be a match for the very best in the English League and almost certainly beat them. Nowadays, a really good Championship team could make life difficult for the present Celtic team, simply because the competition in England is so much better than in Scotland. So you might have a beautiful ground, and you might have fantastic support, but then again, where else are half the football supporters of Glasgow to go [?], but your team is going to get poorer and poorer, as players find that being in Scotland, for Celtic, is no longer a challenge. Unless something radical happens in Scotland, football is going downhill.

    Big club or not, I'd be worried.

    Yeah, it sort of dawned on me as I was about halfway through, but I persisted. Especially as I probably remember more about Celtic from the 1960-70s than the troll does. On the subject of Gary Hooper - No..!

    I can see Saints going in for Hooper again in the summer. He won't have a chance of England recognition in the SPL.
