Any news on when he will return? Could he be the catalyst our season needs? Or do you think he will arrive too late to have an impact?
    Thoughts?

Last I read, he was meant to be doing some training with the ball. So he is yet to begin full training, by the time that happens we will probably have five games left. The he will need to get full fitness, so probably back for the Norwich home game.

He's been such a big loss for us this season.
(imagine how spurs would have done without Modric)

Lets hope he gets fit quick.

Hmmm - maybe you are right. It is still odd that AW suddenly leaves out one of our most potent weapons.

I really hope Oxo starts against City. We need to take the game to them and Oxo is perfect to get the city players running towards their own goal.

I think Wenger made a colossal error leaving Ox on the bench at QPR... a midfield of Ox and Rosicky would have been way better than putting an out of form Ramsey on the left... totally ineffective. We will have a selection headache once Wilshere comes back. Where will we play Arteta, Wilshere, Rosicky and Song?

Even Benayoun would have been better than Ramsey on the left against QPR. I'm don't criticise Wenger unnecessarily at every opportunity like many do on here, but I will point out when criticism is justified - and the decision to play Ramsey on the left ahead of Oxo and Benayoun was a poor one.

As others have said, surely Oxo must have some sort of injury worry. Cannot explain his reluctance to use him otherwise. You need to trust your manager on these things, it's not like he wants poor results.

Statistically young players are FAR less likley to suffer injuries caused by burnout.

It was a poor decision it's true but it seems certain posters on hererwant to use it as an excuse for our lose.(and to push the blame solely on Wenger)

The truth is the team we put out was easily strong enough to win that game.

He made a decision and it was a mistake. OXO should not be tired so soon and we also have Gervinho and Benny on the bench. So why pick a central midfielder and play him left wing? It's not like we've been overcome with loads of injuries and forced to play Ramsey there. We're on a winning run and playing the best football all season.

    If it ain't broke........

I know what you mean, sometimes people blame everything on Wenger, but on this occasion, he was largely at fault. He is the manager and he calls the shots. He changed things and it didn't work, so he takes a large slice of the blame....

You are right, he has not played him too much and a lot of them were as subs. Im tired of all this, he's too young balls. If you're good enough and playing really well, then you should play. We are playing really well at the moment and OXO has a lot to do with it. Bringing in Ramsey who hasn't featured much with our winning run should not be brought in unless, we have to and only if he's playing in the right position!!!

I don't get some people, Wenger buys the players, Wenger picks the formation and tactics. We have injury prone players on our books, why don't we do something about it instead of making excuses all the time ? Everyone has to deal with injuries, the manager is responsible for providing the squad. It is the manager's fault. He has 2 opportunities a season to address injuries to players and bring in replacements, who's fault is it that he has this trust in players who get injured all the time ??? Poor managerial judgement. Football is no different from any other industry, if you bring in the wrong personnel or you do not provide adequate cover, as a manager, IT IS YOUR FAULT. He is getting paid £6m per season FFS, the buck stops with him.

Fabregas played far more games for us .. at a younger age .. .and didn't burn out.

  16. I've given up on trying to understand some of Wenger's tactics. There is a lot of history here as we all know and getting players to play out of position is simply baffling. Another reason why I think there is a time when you're at your best and then when you pass this you just have to accept these things gracefully. IMHO

RVB - I know! He had loads of time to change the structure mistake - but didn't until too late.
    When does he ever?

Always after 65 minutes without fail. Even if the 2012 Mayan doomsday prophecy was to come into play, he'll still make the same substitution after 65 magical minutes.... :p

But seriously, maybe with Pods signing and RVP's impending new contract, there is something new in the air.....
