this is a video of ryo's latest match for bolton. It isnt by any means one of his best but i see a lot of improvement in his crossing and he's definitely less predictable. What do you guys reckon? Could we use him next season? I think we should because wilshere was also at about the same level at bolton before taking his game up a notch when rejoining us in the summer.

ive seen him play against us for Bolton live twice...and he plays a good game for a 10 year old...but i think he looks like one of them players that would disapear in a team any better than Bolton, especially in a team like Arsenal..i dont think he could live with the rest...however he is a good player for 19...so he still has time.

if Swansea or someone similar in style were willing to take him on loan, then i can see him improving..but not at bolton.

Seriously, you do talk a lot of balls don't you. Plays good for a 10 year old? Not good playing for Bolton? He's 19 years old, playing his second season in Europe and his first in England on loan in cold Bolton. He is doing very well so far and will only get better. Name an English player at his age that's gone abroad and done anything like him? So far he has had 8 appearances (1 sub) and has 2 assists and 1 goal. Not bad considering it's his first season playing in the toughest league in the world and for relegation battling Bolton!

As for the OP, not sure if he'll have the chance to play for us so soon in the league as we have the Pod coming, and have Gervinho/OXO playing on the wings too. We wll probably keep him for the first half of the season and have him feature in the Carling cup/FA cup. I do hope he gets a go in the league too but that seems unlikely, unless injuries occur.....Other than that, i would definately have him go out on loan again, either back to Bolton or Swansea or Norwich.....

He is a talent and should be persevered!

Funny how the spurs wums crawl out from under their rocks after they get a result.

Where were you lot over the last two months ? Went into hiding after the 5-2 spanking.

I saw both Bolton games, and he was def a threat, very quick and skilful and caused Benny an issue or two. Looks a prospect to me. Seemed to peter out after an hour, but that's not unexpected.

We weren't hiding just desperately trying to comvince ourselves it was a one-off. Thankfully, in terms of performance, it was.

    Walcott: Miyaichi’s the Ryo deal

Reflecting on what’s he’s seen of his young teammate, Walcott told Arsenal.com:

“Ryo has done very well at Bolton. It is hard for such a young kid to go there and do what he is doing, showing no fear with everything that happened at Tottenham [with Muamba]. It is hard and it has probably hit him definitely.

“He will be a better person for it, a better player and I can see him coming back here next year and playing a lot more regularly.

“The way he is playing, there are full backs out there now who are thinking, ‘I don’t want to play against him this week’.”

Glowing review from Mr Walcott. Just imagine if we saw Miyachi on the left, Walcott in the middle and Oxo on the right? Just imagine the extreme pace! (Although i wouldn't want to bench RVP :p)
