For those of you who are interested in statistics this is Liverpool worst run for nearly sixty years. 1962-63 Liverpool finished 8th 1963-64 Liverpool finished 1st 1964-65 Liverpool finished 7th. 1965-66 Liverpool finished 1st 1993-94 Liverpool finished 8th 1994-95 Liverpool finished 4th 1998-99 Liverpool finished 7th 2009-10 Liverpool finished 7th 2010-11 Liverpool finished 6th ~The premiership started in 1992/1993 season and Liverpool finished 6th that year. Is kenny Dalglish going to pull a rabbit out of the hat next season and win the title.?All the time he reminds us that the team are improving.I know it would be too much to ask for next season to win the title, but champion league football is not too much to ask for. With Machester United, Manchester City, Chelsea, Arsenal, Tottenham, and Newcastle it is not going to be easy to finish fourth next season. If he really loves the club, he must step down if he cannot take the club forward.
Look its really really simple here. 1. who is buying players.. kenny and comolli. If you think that its only kemmy buying british players then you need to take a look at who comolli got for spurs.. there were pleanty of english lads in there.. If removing kenny would improve this on its own then fine but the reality is you're talking about stripping out the clubs strucutre.. .again.. 2. who is trianing players.. Again there's a team kenny put in here. you'll strip the whole lot out and start again. 3. we're not scoring. why? conversion rate of 2.5% pretty dire. either you blame the manager or you blame the guys failing to finish. 4. there's no divine right to anything in football, but the reality is I can see the simple fact that chelsea, city and utd will spend the most on wages year on year. That means i am in no way worried about spurs or newcastle in the long term simply as they have to make big changes to sustain their teams (stadia/owners etc) If you took RVP out of arsneal where honestly do you think they would be? 5. Again arsenal. without RVP it is reasonable to assume they'd be outside the top 4 big time. wneger was under huge pressure not once but twice this year and he's scraped through. Kenny on the other hand delivers a pot and is developing his team and the minute we lose form the knives are out... I find this crazy. 6. kenny has made his own bed in a way over the suarez thing and a few other issues but in no way can those justify the absolute mayhem in reds fans.... in case nobody noticed the lord and saviour of england happy harry scraped through court himself, took his side on a 6 game bad spell was drawing 1-1 with swansea before adebayor (a loanee) saved him. His run was as bad as kennys... but theres no big press heat there is there. Are we listening to the press here?

other than the fact thats not true...... if you go look at the footage if you can stomach recording that game and wathcing it back you will plainly see mr carroll has his shirt on going down the tunnel... I don't deny he mouthed off and you know despite the guys on 606 calling just last week for andy carroll o be in the team I said "i've given up on andy carroll" Again someone with an agenda write a piece making out we're awful... well we are on a ****e run of form but again we've a cup in our back pocket and to be frank show me the cup the rest have or will have... one of 4 teams can win the fa cup, one of two can win the league. the rest are also rans... yes even newcastle for all the praise they get. we're ****e and we're awful and we've a cup... how? just maybe if kenny goes this summer and some other guy comes in and we reset the clock to zero again and i say there's a multi year project ahead and we start this knee jerk sack the manager stuff in october or november again.... we;; just maybe i'll say i told you so.
it's also the first silverware we've won since 2006. And here's another stat for you: the Red Sox didn't win a world series for 86 years. FSG took them over in 2002. It took two full years to win it, though I think that probably surprised them and they expected it to take a little longer. I know two years is a huge time in your life, what with you only being nine years old, but they went out and won it again three years later. That's twice in five years. After 86 years. But sadly you'd have been bleating like a little girl in 2003 about how it was all gong wrong, what with them being over ten games behind the Yankees. Then you'd have sacked the manager, coach and half the squad.
The thing is people, we have seen Liverpool all but destroy many a team this season, but for that piss poor conversion rate. Is it Kenny's fault that our players have a jinx on them in front of goal? If it was not for the training and the tactics, would we have been getting 30-40 chances a game? Just think how different a season we would be having if Suarez had scored all those times he hit the post? And when you take in that poisonous little twat Evra, you have to cut the man some slack this season. If he stays, he will be bang on form next season. You cannot blame Kenny for the horrific bad luck we have had in front of goal, if not for that confidence would be high, and we would be certain of a top 4 place. As it is, we are now in the same place we were in, in Rafa's last season, and all the fine weather supporters are giving JH cause for concern. At least the fans who got he match are still singing his name, but they did so for Rafa too, I hope that this time the owners will listen more to them, than the idiots who phone 606.
Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish will not quit - Mark Lawrenson Source:http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/17583592
I just want to add a useless stat to this debate, then ask one question. first the stat. take our lousy run of 6 games and convert half to wins... which is not unreasonable given soem of the teams played... that 9 points. add those to our current total you get 51 points. 5th place is 53 points. thats the useless stat for the day. think on it. you an think about slding odwn a tbale and being below everton but not the converese. Now the question: should the title of this article be changed from "Can we afford another season like this.?" to "Have we the patience to see another season like this?" I've news for guys, sack the manager, appoint annew one and most likely next eyar will be similar. again think about it.
Didn't FSG sack the Red Sox manager the season before they won the World Series? Thought the new manager won it in his first year? Not sure it's quite the same the way the Yanks play rounders, what with the manager, the general manager, the sub manager, the sub general other manager etc, but somebody important was definitely replaced with somebody better right before they won that first title.
Have patience, not because i think Kenny is the right manager but because i think any manager needs time and there's no-one better waiting in the wings. You've had bad luck but you're 11 points off 6th, let alone champions league places or winning the title. Huge gaps there, one or two bad results and you could easily drop into the bottom half. My advice is not to worry about it, if i were you i'd be looking at blooding some youngsters and focusing on winning the FA Cup, honestly there's no big difference between finishing 7th and finishing 13th in my book - either is below par for Liverpool. Newcastle have done astoundingly this season (they're my team) but don't expect us to be up there next season, we're just happy we've done well.
I have said let's give him another year but I really don't want to hear the "ifs" though Mito. Old saying " If ifs and buts were candy and nuts then Christmas would be everyday". We can't say what if, as what happened happened and there is no changing that. We lost 3 points, we don't get those back by saying If. We just need to knuckle down and win this FA cup, focus on what needs to be worked on ( midfield getting bossed yesterday for example) and see where we can end up at the end of the season. Hopefully a struggling villa at home can give us a boost but then have a fighting for their lives Blackburn away which will be very tough.
so what you're saying is, its evras fault suarez said those things, therefore his fault suarez was banned, and hence why suarez couldnt hit a barndoor with a banjo this season? evra is the snake, is what you're saying, and suarez is eve? took the bait, ****ed for eternity?
Our home form has caused us problems. We already drew 8 games at home this season 8x2=16 points dropped.Assuming we have converted six of them to win that = additional 12 points. You cannot blame teams for winning on their own ground. Our home form have seriously contributed to our failure this season.
I guess the problem you guys have is the whole world watches Liverpool. Unlike Spurs who went through a similar patch who are not as big/well watched etc they go largely un noticed when a bad spell comes along. Everything seems so bad only due to the spot light placed on you. If you had Cisse or Ba in your team, you would flourish in this league. Your only problem really, if everyone was being honest, is your lack of a goal scorer. Plain and simple. I do not think you will have such a terrible season next season. I feel you will get closer to the top 4 (not quite get it). Just sign that striker (Huntelaar??)
I think that if the 'ifs and buts' came out next season could be his last days as manager. To be honest I don't expect top 4 next year either, but I hope to god we don't spend another 1/2 a season on relegation form.
Well done for winning the league cup otherwise known as carling cup this season, if we can add the FA cup it's going to be a good season. According to Rafa Benitez "good team do not lose two games in a roll", losing three games in a roll has now make us a bad bad team. Blackburn Rovers beat manchester United at Old Trafford earlier in the season, I believe United are going to make sure they get at least a draw tonight. The earlier the better our players start to learn from thier mistakes. If the current Liverpool manager is not one of the old boys he is going to be kicked out already.
i think the question is are we improving? i have seen signs of good, progressive football. some of our passing and attacking play have been up there with any other team you can name. there has been flaws...the game against spurs was a disaster but the game against arsenal was brilliant but we lost them both. the biggest problem i see is the inabilaty to stick the ball in the net. carroll has been a disaster. never worth the money and can't play the pass and move game that kenny and steve clark have introduced. should be shipped out (if we could find anyone to take him!) a striker is a must for next season! a lot of people have been bitching about the new boys in the midfield but our best passing games have included henderson and downing. henderson has been played out of position on the wing when clearly thats not his position. against newcastle hendo was dropped for shelvey who played in the middle and gerrard was pushed out on the right. (and a lot of people on here were saying how they liked the look of the team!) imo henderson is a better player than shelvey and should have got the nod. pick your best team and play them! i think the team has improved but the inability to finish teams off has brought all this **** down on our team. just my opinion.
