I think it's fair to say we are not going to go up. With Koren out for another few weeks we have got no experienced AM and with Hobbs out we have lost a great CB. Chester might be back but barmy Barmby has said he won't risk him. That leaves us with young CBs( Bradley and Cooper) and some tough away games like West Ham and Millwall. For me Coventry was a must win so I can't see us going up this season
Hull City should be dead and buried from the play offs now. But again other teams also draw or loose games they should be winning. 5 points seams alot but they can go in 2 games. Easter should be our Last Chance Saloon but in this crazy league who can tell ? West Hams fans moaning on 5-live and talksport made me laugh and they are 3rd, ffs. Hope Reading beat TWS on friday (2pm live on sky) and Saints beat Pompey and then arrange a draw on friday week. Stitch up the Brady bunch big time. Hammers have no confidence of winning the play-offs. From what i saw on saturday Blackpool could well do it again from Wembley. They looked good against Saints.
When fixtures first came out, I instantly thought we would be the fly in Wet Shams ointment. I think they are going to need a win on the last day to secure 2nd and against the odds we somehow stop them. If this happens, they will think themselves to big for the play offs and balls it up somehow, in which case this season would have all been worth it! Topping Leicester is the target for me now...Not over till its over I guess, can someone spike the Yorkshire water with steroids/growth hormones? Or something for Cullen's acne?
West Ham fans have every right to moan, they have a bigger wage bill than anyone else in the league by miles, they have 4 strikers on their bench who could walk into our starting XI and they're still ****.
Plus Big Sam has been given the dreaded Vote of Confidence by the owners. http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11095/7647039/?
I have thought all season that our squad was too thin to cope with a few key injuries + maintain a promotion push.
Big Sam should be in the top two pushing for first but they have aloued over teams in and I think we are going to have to play well with our injurys
There you go then. Proof indeed that spending millions does not guarantee anything. Maynard has been a waste of money and space and nowhere near the player he was. His motivation it seams has gone now that he is on bigger bucks. IF West Ham dont go up Its gonna be a good watch what happens there this summer. That applies to Birmingham as well. What chances of one or both starting next season on -10 points. ?
