    Cheers Cozer. Some interesting snippets.

Rather telling of the way the club views things. And if supporters decide not to bother turning up to the turnstiles, at what point do the executives decide that they have failed and should sack themselves? Or would they just blame said supporters for not doing their job?

At what point do you think they might possibly realise that delivering clarity and long term vision, value for money aligned with prudence, valuing the customer instead of slagging them off, is actually damn good business-sense that will deliver high levels of profitability that benefit everyone, but especially the club and its executives.

This is a shot across the bows at those who believe the LUFC Supporters Trust does not represent anyone. The FSF clearly believes the Trust fully represents the voice of LUFC fans. If you are not keen on its current vision, I suggest you get involved to influence getting your view across. Otherwise, trolling a keyboard will get you nowhere.

This reason for protests I fundamentally disagree with. Just because we are not promoted is not a reason to be protest. Being prudent with the money is not a reason to protest.

Being raped by the astronomically-high ticket pricing strategy on the promise of getting the best players in order to achieve promotion is a reason to protest.

LUST needs to employ someone who has a lifetime of administration skills to produce their minutes. Amateur offerings such as this is exactly what the club will jump on and use against them. Alternatively, an independent eye could have spotted this.

The Leeds Fans United initiative, bringing togetehr the Supporters Trust, the RMCs, the SC and others will improve representation. Great idea.

Interesting read. Unfortunately, I couldn't make it to the meeting. What sort of audience size do you normally get?

Cozer, re. the expansion of the Trust membership - whatever happened to good old leafleting? Emailing is fine, but I think dishing out leaflets on match days will directly target those that love the club enough to put their hands in their pockets. Personally, I'd love to see us grow the membership well into 5 figures. 5200 is grand, but not as attention-grabbing as 20-30,000. If the majority of season ticket holders were members, then KB would have to take notice. Especially at renewals time, when a concerted campaign might seem a distinct possibility.

What Shaun Harvey has said to the FSF is pathetic and the exact reason why we're protesting. On the bottom level, it has nothing to do with how much money is being spent on players, it's down to showing a lack of respect to the people who make the club. WE are the club, not them, yet they are determined to prove otherwise.

Supporters are there to support. Harvey's exactly right. What he forgets in his arrogant outburst is that supporting a team includes wanting the best for it in every way possible, not just shouting 'come on United' from the stands and giving inordinate amounts of money to fund Bates' vanity schemes.

Consequently if he, his Master and their yes-men stand in the way of our club and fans getting the best deal possible, of course we're going to kick up a fuss. We're not mindless sycophants at Leeds United, we're fanatics.

Maybe he should pursue a career in masturbation because he's such a total and utter ****er, and ****ers are there to ****.

LUFC 666 & Elmo: Some very good points made. The best way for supporters to have their say is by joining LUST .
The great thing about LUST is that it's ran by supporters and yes some aspects of the trust could be more professional but as group we'll learn and get better. As you can see from the minutes the group has grown so quickly that the board are having to work very long hours for the trust, these problems will be ironed out very soon. I agree with every point you've made and will pass your views to the board along with anyone else's views on here.

Cheers for your encouragement and constructive criticism.

Cheers Cozer, am already a member and would have been at the meeting if there had been bicycle parking. As it happened, I had to turn round and go home because there was nowhere safe for me to chain up my bike.

ellandback: Thank you very much for your offer. If you could please post the link for Leeds United Supporters Trust as a sticky that would be fantastic. The blogs are a good read and give a very good insight into what the trust is all about.

Taking a bike inside a pub is not something I have ever been made aware is an acceptable thing. Then again, I am from Harrogate. I'll also have a better chain.

Iqbal and Marko: By banning supporters or anyone who stand in their way just shows what the people who run our club are like. If we all keep spreading the word and get as many supporters as we can to join LUST our voice will get louder and louder. If NW is not backed he'll walk in the summer then that is when we'll show our strength and our membership will grow 10 fold.
I can see I'm talking to the converted on this forum but if you look at others boards like JA606 there is much work to be done, a lot of supporters think if they don't back Bates their been disloyal to the club. So lets all get to work and try and talk some sense into these people.
JLA and ellandback are doing a great job JLA runs bloody rings round most of them on JA606 but they just refuse to take in what he's saying. <grr>

I might sign up and say aloha, although the 1990s layout is infuriatingly old-fashioned.

LUFC 666 & Elmo : We hired a private function room so there wouldn't have been a problem. Cycling from Harrogate what's that about a 45 mile round trip, I'm Knackered just thinking about it.

If only I was fit enough to bike from Harrogate to Leeds...and back! Although I did do a 16 mile stretch today. Bloody wind!

On weekdays, I work in Leeds and take my bike on the train, so the journey was only from town to Beeston and back in reality. Quite a nice run, especially back (all downhill) <ok>

Many of the ja606 mob are just happy clappy dickheads who rarely go to games

The minor issues that are getting pointed out quite regularly will quickly be ironed out. The more people that get involved pro-actively, the more tasks can be delegated to make use of the obscenely valuable resource at our disposal - people!
