Nice edit... taking out the Quarters from your original post. There's a real team in the Quarters that owned 4-0 Arsenal called Milan
This is one of my true hates in football. Whenever someone says something truthful but it points out a flaw in the governing body through its referees and their decisions, its a cardinal sin. Its an absolute disgrace when a manager can get fined and banned for simply pointing out a truth of what happened in the match. What Wenger said is true, ok, maybe the actual response in the tunnel was over the top, but when you are trying to fight for something you are passionate about, that tends to happen. I was incensed when Drogba was fined, because he was correct in his statement. The governing body trying to show solidarity in a moment when there has been a clear error, is stupid. Instead they should realise that actually it was a poor performance by the officials, and they should apologise.
Wenger was right, the ref was crap, and now Wenger gets punished for being correct? Whatever happened to common sense?
A very harsh and unnecessary punishment. UEFA have nothing better to do than to find fault with Arsene Wenger. He does give them the opportunity to do it though, I wish he wouldn't...
Wenger has increasingly become more and more whiney in his old age. This is largely to do with him failing to win anything for such a long time. It's frankly quite embarassing some of the things he comes out with and i wish he would just keep his mouth shut sometimes. I respect the man for revolutioning Arsenal and English football and i really want him to put his head down and concentrate on football.
Maybe on this one occasion it's been unjust, but Wenger and SAF have gone over the line so many times that it's making a mockery of the whole system. I would advocate the use of more technology in the sport to counter the injustices. We've seen the use of the Hawkeye reviewal system and it's done wonders to cricket.
Thinking further about this - whilst I don't think Wenger deserves the ban, he can only have himself to blame. He must know his card is marked by UEFA - they set him up FFS for the last ban - so he should be more professional. He has no chance against a corrupt UEFA organisation, so all he is doing is damaging Arsenal with his actions.
They have, but it's not a surprise given that we know they have it in for Wenger. He should learn to be a bit more careful. he has damaged our chances if we make the CL next year because he has handed his own head on a plate to them. Not smart.
Kidding me? I answer idiotic remarks the way they deserve to be. I go on most boards, don't flatter yourself. As HD said, it ain't hard
