Nick Barmby is certainly aware of what's written about him in the media as he quoted them in his last interview (post Cov) "apparently I don't have a plan B" & "some former players should know better" (after Pompey)

I'm not saying any of it helps, because it's a ****ing internet messageboard not a team meeting.

As for your "perspective" bollocks, if the electricity went off in your home would you think "It's ok, back in the day they had to use oil lamps any way"? Same principle here, we're not the club we were 10-15 years ago, times have changed, expectations have risen.

That's his own fault for reading it. If I was that sensitive I wouldn't go on a site where I know there's a high chance there'll be people criticising me on there.

    Pretentious twat <doh>

When did you turn into a complete dick Strov? I've never had any reason to take issue with you before the last day or two, but suddenly everyone's opinion (or, mindless moaning as you like to call it) is totally invalid regardless of what is said.

I think I made a pretty reasonable statement and hoped you'd reply with some sort of intelligent counter-argument but you just spouted some **** about a scene in gladiator.
This is a discussion, so discuss.

    What defeat?
As i never made any of those assertions you are talking about i have no need to debate them. Why not take your own advice and debate them on their respective threads. Bob and DJ are two of the best posters on here. They went to the Pompey game, you and most on here didnt. Thats why they were so pissed off after yesterday, they were promised and expected a response. Which they didnt get.
I agree there are loads of new posters on here but so what. Thats why we are all here.
You come across as a complete prick with your Gladiator reference by the way.

It's getting a little unnecessarily spicy on here isn't it.

When the wheels came off in the prem, posters were at each others throats then too.

I don't like posters spouting negative drivel constantly but not only do they have every right to do that on here, at the moment there's nothing much positive to post about as an alternative. I mainly come on here for info and to ingratiate myself in others' viewpoints and opinions, I don't find myself posting that often unless I think of something that I can't see has been covered. As a result, when we're playing awful football and people moan about it, I'd rather read that on here, as it's a genuine opinion, rather than some off topic bollocks about "socks" for example.

I consider myself a realist, and people who might remember me from the BBC 606 site (when I was a regular poster) might remember I was usually quite positive. I often stuck up for players like Garcia during our prem tenure when he would get slated by everyone else week in week out.

From what I hear, we're dour at the moment. And some of the formations and player positions have been Phil Brown-esque. I know it's only a few losses but it's the lack of urgency or willingness to address our main problem (scoring) that gives me that sinking feeling again.

I'm not going to fly off the handle about anything on a messageboard because there's much more to life, but this might be a release for many fans. Would you rather they vent on here or vent at games? Negativity only breeds more negativity, but I'd rather we bear the brunt of it on here than have more people booing at games etc.

I think some of you need to calm down. There are points to both sides of the argument, but at the moment I'm generally going to side with the so called neg-heads, simply because their main point is how poor we are on the pitch, in formation and finishing. I don't really agree with the whole "the players attitudes stink" thing because I genuinely believe they're professionals and don't go out there not caring. That's not to say they are playing with passion however, and part of the problem is instilling this int the team. This is Nick's job I'm afraid, along with the formation and player positions. We've got a good team that have gotten us this far. It's a shame we didn't strengthen in January but it shouldn't have effected us this badly.

My only qualm with the club is how we're playing.

... Now rip me to shreds as well...

Yes, we're ****s because we aren't happy with being ****.

Nobody has said they aren't supporting the team. Like anyone else I've been supporting the team as much as normal lately. I turn up to every game with this deluded idea that the last few weeks were a one-off and we will win this one. I give vocal encouragement throughout the game and at the end I despair when we fail to score again.

When the times comes that home games (these are the games most fans see, before anyone asks I do go to away games as well but obviously a lot more fans on here will see home games than away ones) become entertaining again there will be positive posts after them again.

Agreed, any statement remotely negative is apparently 'mindless nonsense'. This guy is just clueless and gets a kick out of starting anonymous online arguments, what a sad little man.
