Evening people, What is your favourite United team and why ? Also what is your most memorable United game ? My favourite United team what the double winning side with Kanchelskis, Cantona, Ince, Schmeichel etc. If I had to pick one game, without going for the obvious CL final against BM, it would be Spurs away when we were 3 nil down at half time and came back to win. Absolutely immense. What were yours ?
The Treble winners have to be my fave. Cole and Yorke reading each other's mind, and the best midfield four in the history of ever Fave match was the Turin comeback. Not only did we score three goals away from home against one of the best teams in the world, we actually managed to win the match outright....
Favourite team same as yours mate, the 94 double winning side. I spent a lot of time in their company! Hard as nails and talent to burn. Best match i ever went to was the 1984 cup winners cup quarter final, beating Barcelona 3-0 from a two nil away leg deficit. Unforgettable night. I would say the 99 CL final but the truth is for 85 minutes it was ****!
Favourite team would have to be treble winning team. Most memorable match would have to be the champions league final against Bayern Munich.
The treble winning side was a great team, but I actually think the team that won the CL with Ronaldo, Rooney and Tevez was a slightly stronger side
2007-08 team has to be the best in my memory. Not only did they win, they were arguably the most dominant and exciting team in Europe that season. I used to get a buzz everytime they played, felt like sth would happen everytime they attacked.
That bad boy still has pride of place in my cd collection! The cup final lives in the memory for a few reasons but it's the only one I've been to where it pissed down all day.

Just to keep the favourite them going : What was your favourite / most memorable United goal ? I have 2 : 1) The Nou Camp goal with Cole and Yorke linking up which resulted in Yorke finishing from the edge of the box 2) The Eric chip against Sunderland

Possibly have to agree with Eric. What a defence we had with the likes of Pallister, Bruce, Irwin and big Peter in goal. Our midfield was great with Ince and Keane in the centre but how about Kanchelskis, Sharpe and Giggs on the wings!! Then we still had Cantona and Sparky Hughes up front. Brilliant! Best game? Hard to really say for sure but I always loved the Arsenal v Man United at Highbury in 2005. Had everything. Keane arguing with Veira in the tunnel.
