brendan has not denyed the article like he always does if it aint true so there must be something happening. i dont think anyone apart from brendan, harry and the both boards know whats going to happen, it wont be until the season is over anyway so dont expect any news until then i think....
We'll be smelling roses regardless which way Buck falls off the fence . It's all about money to me while were in this League & although I hope he stays .... 5,000,000 is a lot of softening the blow .
So you believe the club has agreed to a contract where BR can walk away for free at the time of his choosing! That would be the dumbest contract in history. In fact it would amount to a non-contract and would of saved us money if he didn't use the ink in the pen to sign the thing in the first place.
5,000,000 dai , that's the price put on Bucks head . He signed a 3 year deal to ensure Swansea are rewarded if the clause comes into effect & a big club will have to pay big for his services . How you think we'ed get nothing eludes me . Harry & Brendan should enjoy there handshake today .
I must admit I have never looked for articles about spurs, but I am interested in what you are saying here as I have never seen any of this, can you point us to where the spurs chairman says that Thanks
I dont think he is ready for a big club yet. Some of his tactical and game management decisions are a bit rough around the edges. For example in the last two games Everton and Tottenham have pressed us hard and have disrupted our flow...I can only imagine that other teams will keep doing this now so it will be interesting to see how Rodgers reacts as I didnt see any improvement from the Everton game today. Another one is his player choices - Graham (I am a massive fan of him) but he has been a bit off form the last current weeks so why leave him in the pitch for so long and also Sinclair has been hot and cold all season too but will persist on playing him for 90 mins even when everyone can tell he is having a nightmare. Its just the small little details that need improving and he will eventually get a top 4 job but now is too early!!
I would be disappointed if we replaced arry with rodgers as we're setting ourselves up for going backwards and rodgers is setting himself up for failure so early in his career, and he could well ruin his career. Rodgers, needs to prove himself in the premier league first and to do that he really needs 3 years of managing swansea, keeping you in the premier league, carrying on the style of football and then he would be ready for a bigger job. Lets just hope, arry stays with us, rodgers stays with you and we both have no reason to complain!
Don't think it will happen, he is to inexperienced to do that job and I think he will wreck his career by going there so early. how is he experienced ???? he has the skills and thats all he needs and spurs dont think he cant do the job....wishful thinking though...
So you believe the club has agreed to a contract where BR can walk away for free at the time of his choosing! That would be the dumbest contract in history. In fact it would amount to a non-contract and would of saved us money if he didn't use the ink in the pen to sign the thing in the first place. managers do it all the time. we all know he wants a big club so he would have a clause put into his contract that he can walk away if the situation arises.....well it has and now we have to wait and see what he decides if spurs do offer him the job......and if he has that clause which i suspect he has then spurs dont have to pay a penny to us....
I fthis was the case Dai, every player and manager alike would have this "clause" put into their contract's. To actually believe that we would allow our manager to leave without any compensation is beyond belief, no chairman is that stupid, that's why their chairman of a football club. As for will he actually go. No. While he is linked to the job, and he has stated he would love to manage a big club, he is contracted here at Swansea City, and I don't think the Spurs chairman would approach Buck anyway. He is inexperienced at this level (Our players are an exception and got us to where we are right now), his tactical and substitutions are a little, strange, at time, shall we say. A team loike Tottenham are lookjing to go forwards at this moment in time, and I doubt a young, inexperienced manager is what they are looking for. As for us, he's doing a brilliant job (Most of the time), and he has the players here to play how he wants the game played. He has it all right now.
in·ex·pe·ri·ence (nk-spîr-ns) n. 1. Lack of experience. 2. Lack of the knowledge gained from experience. inex·peri·enced adj. Joking aside, I agree that BR does not have the long term experience to be contemplating taking on a top four team now. As jackdan said, some of his tactical and team choice decisions are naive and he's a little too hesitant to change things early on in the game when thing are obviously not going to plan A. From the Swans point of view, I'm a bit worried there is no plan B in him.
he has not asked for the world only a opportunity that would be to good to turn down and thats right and proper. there is only man utd/city, chelsea and spurs that this sort of clause would apply...everyone these days put some sort of assurances into their contract, players do it all the time and so do managers ..thats why it can take a while for contracts to be finalised sometimes, its not always about money...
Quote by rodgers read out on talksport. "If i leave swansea city then i will demand compensation for the club" so that says he can leave for nothing if we dont play ball,
Yes compensation, which would be above the contractual agreement, I don't believe he can leave just like that Superswan otherwise he wouldn't have signed a contract but an agreement only, and if it was an agreement there wouldn't be a 3 and half year time limit to it.
about 1-2 million would be about right, that would buy out his contract easily. but should we want more and spurs say no then brendan has no choice but to walk away, whatever we do brendan is joining spurs and there is nothing we can do to stop him. he has done the right thing in asking spurs to compensate the swans so its up to them. they should do the decent thing and give us a couple of million out of respect but they dont have to...
what would you expect then???? how much do you think brendan earns as manager with us. he has more or less indicated he is off and i dont blame him for the sort of money spurs will pay him. i admire that he is trying to get some sort of compensation before he goes but the operative word is trying....
