If the team obtains 62 points I will be happy. For SD to have worked the team well enough to beat MMs team with Danny and Marvin playing through all the games will be a very good outcome. It is strange how MM was always being praised for his management and with worse resources losing back room staff and players SD is matching him without the recognition.

    I do not know

Its because there are 9 other predictions lol. He does not have to get the Wfc game correct, he can afford to throw that away that one and get the rest right.

I am only 1 point out. I had us at 52 at this point.

Why only "hopefully"? Weeds are a below par side on the slide - the Florists proved that last night. We, on the other hand, are on the up - so I'm fairly confident of three points from that fixture.;)

I see we now have more points than you predicted for the whole season Ak.

If the rest of your predictions are correct then we will have got the same number of points as last Season so i would call that a success. Only 4 points behind MM's Cardiff so who knows if the results go right we could be above them after BH Mondays game.

    Come on you 'orns :1980_boogie_down:

My predictions for March were pretty accurate. If April follows suit then there's hope yet.

According to your predictions we should be on 69 points already. But I'll stick with you mate here's for your results for the last 6 games :emoticon-0184-tmi:

In order, the current positions of the teams we have to play are 5th, 8th, 9th, 6th, 17th & 7th. A decent set of results in those matches, the issue of overhauling clubs above us is reduced.

I think I'd be happy if we got 68 points. Wouldn't be enough for the play offs though.

Frankly I am not bothered about the play offs and don't think we stand a cat in hell's chance anyway - you don't pick up 6 points on 3 clubs in 6 games - but we could do without the distraction of extra fixtures at the end of this season - and we certainly do not have a Prem ready squad. I would love us to finish in the top 10 - that would be a fantastic achievement for all concerned this year

Ditto to that - our current squad is not as strong as the one Aidy B had for our last stint there IMO, and, at best, is on a par with GT's squad first time round - ie not good enough.

As you say, a top ten finish would be great - then another year or so of consolidation whilst bringing through youngsters & we should be ready.

I have to agree that we are no where good enough for the prem. and think we could look foolish if by accident we found ourselves there.

GT used to improve his sides year on year with the backing of SEJ. Players that we enjoyed watching were suddenly sold on and higher standard ones brought in. It has to be a steady progress until you have a team that can do well throughout a whole season in the Championship, then with some additions try your luck.

I think that next season we will see if Baz can give the support that is needed to go forward, or he may say that we have been alright this season, so we will have more of the same.

Well, if you think about how far off we were before this run...we sort of have been catching up so many points in so few games.

Besides...we have to play them, so obviously if we beat them, that's half way to catching them up..and we have 5 other games to make up the other 3 points. A few of them have to play each other too.

I think best for Watford would be to lose the play off final as there would be some extra money unplanned. To even get to the play off seats is almot impossible. The team is aheah of my prediction so I would like to see them finish in the top half of the division or better the top 10.

agree with all the above...top 10 would be superb...making the playoffs makes the end of the season exciting, but i think we're all realistic enough to know that going up would be a huge step backwards for us...so let's make the playoffs and fall at the last hurdle ;)...

Or..let's just finish top 10, which is higher than any of us could have dreamed about at the beginning of the season...:)

Top ten finish would be truly remarkable for 'little old Watford' considering we were favorite again for relegation<laugh> Maybe just maybe we might get some credit for how we have played throughout this season! but somehow I doubt we will get the credit we deserve if we finish in the top 10;)

I don't think that getting promoted is ever a step back.....it's quite literally the exact opposite.

Would we stay up? You never know until you try. At least two of the teams who went up last season will be staying up....it's not impossible.

Besides....think of the money! The mistakes made the last time we went up will be learnt from. Look at Blackpool...a team very similar to us, and promotion has really elevated the club.

I doubt we'll be too much more ready for the Premier League in two seasons time than we are now, so we might as well go for it now.

I understand as much as anyone, that getting the chance to get into the Premier League for us is small...but that doesn't matter. I don't quite believe that people wouldn't want to get promoted. I doubt we'd be dishing out £25k contracts to everyone and losing it all like last time.
