Strange. Were you in the bar? Did you forget to take out your headphones? What? Ah, that's what the Steward told me, i stand corrected. Still rubbish views though. ha ha. Good try. £23 was for a child, what a rip off! £34 for an adult...also a rip off, but worth paying to see our fantastic performance today Yep, that should have been a 3rd, agreed..though how you didn't score with that amazing double save from our wonderful loanee, Kuszczak, is anyone's guess! Still, good game...we're in the same battle now, though it seems your fans have given up the fight...which strikes me as odd, as we're just getting going! lol...
The acoustics at Elland Road are notoriously poor, but the only songs I hard from you lot were after Iwelumo's second, singing that Pigbag song ('duh duh duh duh Iwelumo'?) and 'Warnock what's the score?' I think, anyway. We outsung you for the majority of the game despite being behind and you lot were sat down for the entire duration. So I don't think your support was that good. And no, I wasn't in the bar. I'm not giving any extra money to Bates. That's weird; our website only lists adult prices for the West Stand, and the home and away fans are meant to be charged equivalent prices if they're in the same stand. Either way, it's still a bloody rip-off. We get charged the unfairest prices in world football to watch near relegation-standard home performances. Our players look like they don't care and our manager is underperforming as our Chairman laughs at us. Yet we still sang most of our repertoire in the Kop and tried to support our team. Well next season, Elland Road can forget my money and support. This result just confirms that in my mind. Away games only. Sometimes, you've got to give up the fight for the good of your club. Bates out.
honestly, that's weird, coz we didn't hear you lot at all, and kept singing 'this ground a library'...! lol Strange. Also, we sat down for the boring bits (probably when you had the ball lol) we're so used to sitting down coz they insist on it at the Vic, but also, we stand at away grounds when the match is a thriller, which is why we stood far more during the second half...coz we were getting twitchy! lol I was told what you were charged, and was mightily pissed off! It's outrageous (and i've written a blog here to moan about it!) but..after all my moaning about the money this match has cost me, the result has made up for it... i think you'll find that a few Watford fans would admit to having said the same at the beginning of this season. Dyche has turned it around, and given us a good finish...so we're all happy..though many were threatening giving up season tickets, and not going to games unless he wasn't in charge (mentioning no names on this board )...glad to say, i wasn't one of them, but i couldn't blame them, it was a difficult start to the season. But...though we seem to have a Chairman who keeps his cards very close to his chest, someone we're really not sure about yet, he doesn't compare to yours it must be said. Gotta say though, i love away games...if i had to choose, i think i'd rather a season of away games, instead of home games.
H - Don't bite - the dirty one's have sided with the devil - Bates, Colin both at the dirty one's...even reason to hate them...
Sounds pretty hypocritical then, singing "this ground's a library" when yours is none better. Checked out your blog and there are some very good points. Promoted it to article with a few tweaks. If you want to report the Leeds United ticketing and stewarding policies, please contact the Football Supporters Federation. The FA and FL themselves can't do anything about it, so the FSF are your best bet. They say they've had a record amount of complaints about Leeds United's policing of away fans this season, including unfair arrests, photographing and sitting-down of away fans. If it means away fans at ER get a fairer deal from stewards and Police, I beseech you and your fellow Watford fans to submit a complaint to them! You'd be even more enthusiastic about away days if your team regularly lost 6-4, 3-0, 5-0, 4-1 and 7-3 at home! Sided with Bates?! Never.
H - How you doing? _ I fell asleep on the train and had to pay £25 in a taxi to get home...mrs W_Y is down in 'emel as it is her brothers birthday and #2 went to Fabric on Friday and has not been seen since...I am in the Dacha on me own...
lol oh dear! You need a me! My son just missed the last bus, so off i went to pick him up..thankfully only from Ricky. I'm good thanks ...so...a night on your own, what will you do with it?
lol...touché! Many clubs can say the same though to be fair lol Okies, i'll do that. i saw the police with cameras all over the place...very odd..we're a very calm group of away fans and don't warrant that! fair point lol
you know what the strangest part of today was? There were more Leeds fans driving up the motorway than Watford fans. Hundreds of 'em, even in coaches. Very odd to be going up the motorway with the 'home' fans...Leeds must have as much home support as Man U
honestly, i don't know how you do it! ...i could when i was younger, but now, i wouldn't last 6 hours! lol
We do have a lot of fans from the South. I even have a friend who comes not 10 miles from Watford and has supported Leeds since he was a lad. Then again, some of your users on here have pretty far-flung locations, so you must have had some glory as well to attract them - in the 80s, I assume?
they're born and bred in Watford, mostly. And have moved away to other luxurious locations, lucky sods lol. Yep, definitely saw Leeds fans by the time we got to Milton Keynes...and once we were at Nottingham we were surrounded. lol
Even if everything bad that is said about Leeds fans is justified, I've got a higher opinion of them than of fans of the clubs in Milton Keynes and Nottingham.
During commentary yesterday Jon Marks said that he had a huge fluffy sound effects mic in front of him that he was having to peer round. Over this object the Watford fans could be heard singing away most of the time, while the only time that there was a great deal of noise from the home fans was when they thought they had scored but Kuszczak pulled off his double save, and the boos when the players left at half time. Iqbal, not quite right there I am afraid. As one of those from a far-flung location, I have been following my team since 1950, so I have seen us go from applying to be re-elected to the football league to the great days in the top flight. Still fair do's to you for coming back on here, where are all of those who were predicting that we would be a walkover?
Similar to Frenchie but for about 20 yrs less followed the horns in the old 4 division Work has taken me abroad , but I still love Watford FC come what may , even if sometimes it is hardwork , Sorry Iqbal plus again what Frenchie says kudos to you for a good and civilised discussion
