.....the scum of the earth come crawling out from under their rocks. You've just got to look at some of the posts on this board. Said it before and no doubt I'll say it again: THEY'RE NOT PROPER FANS, YOU KNOW! please log in to view this image
Got to agree with both of you on this. Suddenly there's hundreds of posters that have only contributed on here about 15 times coming for a good moan, at the same time as these condescending little dicks who take the moral high ground on everything. We have a lot to complain about - let us have our moment rather than giving it the whole 'clearly you've only supported us since 2008' bullshit. Also, I've seen a few people mention that certain fans have clearly only been a supporter for 10 years - do people not recognize age? Of course I've only been around for about 10 years - before then I was far too interested in Power Rangers and Pokemon!
You have a lot to complain about do you, what's that then? By the way you can be a kunt of a "fan" for 45 years as easily as you can be one for 10.
Looking back, I love the fact that the black ranger, when not a Power Ranger, was black. Same goes for the yellow ranger, who was Chinese.
Well if you haven't been entertained in the slightest for over a year, perhaps you'd be better off seeking entertainment somewhere else. No really.
I don't know, try reading some of the other threads and you might get some sort of an idea what we're a little bit irritated by. I can't stand it when people live by the 'it could be worse' idea. Yes it's all very positive and it sounds like it must be very nice to live in a world like that but I just can't. I'm not expecting us to score 5 every game or even get promoted, but for Christ's sake, for the first time in my life I'm genuinely starting to think that I could do a better job than Barmby - yes he's a Hull legend blah blah blah but that shouldn't make him immune to criticism. If Barmby had tried 4 or 5 different things and actually used different players when they under-performed - Garcia? Simpson? - then fair enough, I wouldn't blame him, but we're using the exact same formation, tactics, lineup.. every single game, with the only changes being one underperformer dropped for another - e.g Stewart for Brady or something like that. The whole 'if I change then I'll be a fraud' bullshit that he came out which sounds respectable at face value - but a good manager recognizes when something isn't working and does something about it. Oh, and please don't respond with something to the effect of 'We've never been a quality team, the last few years have been the best in the clubs history and as a young supporter you don't appreciate it.' - I hate that. First of all, I can only appreciate what I've been ****ing ALIVE for so it's hardly my fault, and second of all - why should we base everything on history? The fact that we've been a lower division side in the past should never be an excuse or comforting thought when it comes to us doing absolutely ****e in the current season, especially when we've outplayed 95% of our opponents and come away with **** all. Shocks and poor performances happen but every man has his limit, and I've far surpassed mine. As for your next comment, did you really just tell a fellow fan to not bother turning up, just because he's pissed off with some continually **** performances? Really? I don't understand why people come on a forum, only to tell people they're not allowed to make points that are in any way negative
Yes, I sure have. For the last 18 months or so I have been thoroughly entertained watching a load of young kids wearing the amber and black play both home and away. I've been thoroughly entertained being in the play-off race for the vast majority of the season. I've been thoroughly entertained by some of the best football I've seen by a Hull City side in all the years I've been supporting them. What hasn't been entertaining has been to read the pathetic tripe of a bunch of morons who call for managers to be sacked, declare players to be useless or criticise owners, who have GIVEN away fortunes to save our club, for not spending enough money. All this after a few bad results in an otherwise acceptible season. By the way which part of the workings of supporting a football club involves the above? If you're struggling with that try typing "support" into any search engine.
There's a great scene in the film Gladiator that always springs to mind at times like this. They're all stood there in the tunnel waiting to go out and fight for their lives. Maximus glances behind him and stood there is a frightened little chimp pi55ing himself in fear at the challenge ahead. Maximus take a cursory look at him before edging away from the snivelling little sheet.
What I find amusing about the "new fans don't appreciate it" comments is I'm sure some of them are the same ones that tell the Leeds fans to stop living in the past because it's what's happening now that counts not what happened 10 years ago.
Not sure where this talk of Old Fans or New Fans has come from. Like I say, a kunt is a kunt however long they claim to have "supported" City.
